How many of you are myLotting when you should be sleeping?

I'm having trouble sleeping tonight so I got up and started on myLot posts. Now here it is 3:30 a.m. and I'm still on line! How many of us are here instead of in bed? How often does that happen to you? How do you function the next day? [I'm retired, so it usually doesn't make that much difference for me.]

I always strat mylotting at 1am and sleep at around 4am. Mylot did changed my schedule. I am unable to sleep without posting something on mylot. After sleeping I just hustle all day. Iam planning to cut down my mylot else I will be badly addicted by mylot. Although I am on my vacations so it doesn't effect me that much. But still good night's sleep is must.

Oh, yeah. If you can't sleep until you post . . . you are addicted! Join the club. LOL

My Fiance and I keep the nocturnal schedules ourselves. We do from time to time get on a schedule where we are awake in the daytime, but we are both much more comfortable at night. It is actually very early in the morning where I am, and here I am tapping away at the keyboard. I think that it is much easier to work on mylot and various other tasks whether it be on or offline at night... it's much more quiet and most people in your household are asleep.

Some people are just naturally night people. Not me. I have these nights when I just can't go to sleep. I usually do my posting in the afternoon and evening. But when I just can't get to sleep I'll get back up and go online.

Thanks. Usually I'm confortable, but my mind keeps going like the Eveready Bunny. Some nights I just can't turn it off. I've used tapes, imagining restful places/things, focusing my thoughts on something pleasant. There are times when that "off" button just doesn't work.

Have you tried a natural sleep aid? Try using something, even if it's lotion, their are some lotions with natural sleep aids in them.. you just have to learn which one is which. I use a Village Naturals :Tension Relief lotion, and it relaxes me... It will help you get comfortable enough and you should fall asleep faster.

I wouldn't say I am greatly inspired in the middle of the night. Mostly I'm worn out but can't sleep. I usually do more responding than starting new discussion at that hour. Thanks for keeping me company.

I sometimes do that, but not very often. My problem is playing games when I should be sleeping.

What's your favorite game? I'm hooked on Spider Solitare. I can't seem to win the high level. There must be some secret technique to it. I've only one one game out of hundreds of attempts.

Oh, yeah, Spinder is one of them, Addiction is another and Cadfeld is yet another. The roomie gave me a game of 100 rounds called Miami Solitare - different games, and I played all the way thru in one night - didn't eat or anything.

Yes, I am so guilty of that. I spend a lot of time mylotting. But I get up and try to do other things so I don't become hooked. Sometimes am on here until 1:00am, my daugther dont like that. She says am depriving myself of my night rest; that is so necessary. She is so right and am going to stop it.

Yep, you are depriving yourself of your night rest, which IS necessary for good health. But when you just can't get to sleep, come on back and myLot until you are sleepy!

Hello youdontsay, Once a while! Whenever I can't sleep, I will mylotting here or if my husband is still wide awake like me, we will watch movie at the wee hours. I don't have problem the next day though I always wake up at the same time daily. But if it keeps going on for two consecutive day, I will be like a zombie the next day!

Ah, youth! I used to be able to pull "all-nighters" when I was younger and be none the worse for wear. Doesn't work that way anymore!

Most Americans don't get enough sleep. I'm wondering if that isn't becoming the norm for more countries as technology pervades their culture. Hope you don't disappear from myLot, but you do need your sleep.

Wow. Dejavu. I've been in the same situation last night. Actually 12 hours ago. I went to sleep like 3 AM or 4.. I can't really remember. But I can't really stop posting here! So I totally know how you feel! But I thought to myself that if I don't rest, I'll be the one who's gonna suffer. So come on, sleep it up!

Ah, to sleep, perchance to dream . . . Easier said than done, I'm afraid. Insomnia is a bear to live with.
