how do u convert video file type?

i shoot a video through using my cellphone,now i wanna convert the video file type,the file type i want is:mpg,mpeg,flv and etc.so pls,give me some tips ,it's very important!

Why don't you try Internet Video Converter from IVCsoft its really cool and can convert to and from most file formats available..

I guess quicktime converter converts video files. I use it for converting from digital camera. You ca download the software from softpedia.com or download.com for free.
