I really hate this, for those Women or Men who still get bumps on their face what do you do about it. I know they always say drink plenty of water, well I really don't like water. Then I will pick with my skin, and it turns dark the marks, I hate this I am a Blk Women as you know. So what would you suguesstions? I really don't think the color of your skin matters, But What do you use. sometimes I might use an alcohol pad to dry up the bumps. I need some advice about this? My Grand-son really has acne bad. he drinks lots of water, but it doesn't help him.

I'm afraid that acne is a result of poor diet my friend. I would use tea tree oil on it, as it is an antiseptic and good for most skin problems. I have also found a page of home remedies. You might find something in there if you believe in using herbs and stuff. Here's the link.... http://www.natural-homeremedies.com/homeremedies_acne.htm There are many to choose from and some are really simple remedies. There is also a suggestion for prevention which might help your son. Good luck and Brightest Blessings. x

I've been around all the time, my friend, apart from a couple of days out, but I guess I had an influx of responses to my discussions and didn't get to respond to too many myself. Brightest Blessings. x

Sometimes they are caused by allergic reactions to something, and then they could also be caused just by other things as well. What I tend to do when I occassionally get some is wash my face with a good soap and water, and then usually will just try and not mess with them so they do not spread. I am Diabetic so I just am quite precautious with anything like this. Sometimes they say it can be the weather, stress, foods we eat. But if at anytime they become too bothersome, you might ask your Doctor as well. Wishing you the best.

Well, I am older than you and I still get them. Well I remember, I try and use toothpaste at night, but it has to be a white one, not a blue one or a gel (don't remember why) and don't do it everynight -- it is too harsh. But it does help.

After passing my first and only Gaulstone and finding out that water disolved them, I figured I had better start drinking it to avoid the pain. The pain doesn't stop until its out. However if you don't sit down much don't worry about it.

people don't really understand this problem, normally a good skin cleansing cream, healthy eating and exercising should do a perfect job getting rid of acne, but in some cases it just does not work, but at least it helps diminishing the problem. all i can tell you is try to eat the less greasy stuff, protect your skin from the sun, it is sometimes your skin not having the adequate protection against the environment and gets irritated giving way to infections.

I am almost 40 and I also get acne on my skin, too. Nothing seems to work against it except a good diet with lots of B vitamins and washing my face with cleansers and the like. I also try to be careful what kind of moisturizers and make-up I put on, too. Some make-ups make it worse. On top of that, I also suffer from Roseacea, too, and that seems to be a lot harder to deal with because it gets worse when my health is worse.

you may hate water but girl it is the start of the cure. and please please don't use alchol on your face. it dries it out to much on the surface but not down in the pores where the problem is. really start drinking more water. I am not much of a water drinker either. so what i do is as soon as i get up i drink my first glass. then i pour another one and sip that until it is time for me to leave the house. so now that's your two glasses. i drink two at work, and then 4 more when i get home. if you don't want to do 8 you should at least do 6. then i would make sure you watch what you eat. and go see a doctor for some medication. what happens inside always shows itself on the outside.

Well I have acne all over. At least that is what my doctor diagnosed it as. I like to pick at mine too and I have the ugly scars to prove it. If you put toothpaste on a pimple and leave it overnight, I will be dried up in the morning.

I recently read somewhere that tea tree oil is good for acne. I had my daughter try it, but she said she couldn't get past the smell of it. So I have read here that colgate white toothpaste helps with this, so I will have to have my daughter try that!

Acne plagues many of us, and it is very common for it to last all our lives. I put the increase in cases and the increase in severity down to our enviornment. We pollute it and it is just one way that repays us. I don't allow my acne to define who I am. The real me is on the inside, and my body is just the vessle that holds it together.

i guess what you need is simply to wash your face with a strong facial cleaning soap so that the agent that causes bumps and other dark stuffs wouldn't "live" on the skin of your face. thanks! also, a lot of water would possibly a big help as well!
