Get your mind out of the gutter, it's not what you think! How often do you accept a friend request when it seems the only reason the person wanted to befriend you was to spam you with their own referral links or websites? Does it bother you? How do you typically react? Do you ask them to stop, ignore them, or remove them from your friends?

When I get a friend request I always look at their profiles. If they frequent the "make money" catagory more than any other, it's cause for suspicion. I look at their discussions to get to know them better. If I think they're just here to make money, I reject them. That way I screen potential friends and have a pretty nice group of them!

yeah i experience many times but i never react bad to them, i promise to check their site on my vacant time, of course i will, if i found that site has a good program well i joined him/her. my reason is, how about if i offer some wonderful site that my friend don't want it although i will not force them to joined me.

I have been lucky on this count so far. I have fifteen pages of frineds but only one has ever sent a message without me requesting it asking me to sign up for something. If that happened I would politely tell them not to insist as that is not what I added them for and if they repreated the same thing then I would delte them from my list. I ask first before contacting about links and until I get to know a friend better I do not bombard them with private messages.

I accept everyone who asks me to be their friend but if I have a pm show up and it is one of those friends sending me links to their sites I will go delete them right away. I don't know why spammers think that we are going to join these sites they send us most of the time I already belong to the links they send anyways.

Thus far I have been fortunate. I haven't had anyone that has done this only for that reason. I have had some that sent a friends request so they could send me their links but it was either because I asked them to or because I made comment that I wanted to know more about something. The friends currently on my friends list have, thus far, not spammed me or irratated me in any way. They all start really interesting discussions and have been wonderful to get to know through their posts. However, if someone did begin spamming me all the time with links and stuff I didn't request I think I would have to remove them from my friends list. I appreciate help and offers but not constantly. If they have nothing better to do then send me all this junk then they can find someone else. I am here to learn, share, make friends, and make money. In that order. :) Thanks Kat for the great discussion
