I just saw a wonderful story about a young woman becoming a Nun. The filmmaker had spoken to Martha at the age of eighteen. She then lived with her higly religious family. She had seven siblings. Matha gave up life outside and bacame a Nun. She could not be spoken to by the filmmaker until after her 5 years of trial was over. It was heartbreaking to me to see how she had to move herself from her family. It was hard to watch her Mother and her brother. The brother loved her very much, and was only five when Martha became a Nun. Do you think you could ever give yourself so completely to God, or something or someone else?

I really have to hand it to these people. It takes a lot, and I could never do it. I am not very good at resisting the simple temptations in life. Plus, I also want to see too much of the world.

She will never go outside the convent, and will be buried there. She spoke about other people seraching for something or someone and travelling. She instead got to know herself and gave herself, and everything became simple. She looked so happy and calm. But it must be hard.
