Yep i am using the laptop from about one year and it is having the great fun in playing games at the laptop rather than desktop.I am having the Compaq 6409 laptop having the wide screen and the graphic card is quite good. So for playing games, my laptop is the best. I do play a lot of 3d games on my laptop and i really have a great fun. So i think laptop is better option for playing games as compared to the desktop.

of course you will experience better gameplay on a desktop, because even if a laptop and desktop has the same specs, the desktop will surely run smoother. But it is also quite fun to play on a laptop if you have a good video card.

I don't think that laptop is better way to play games on it. I prefer play games on PC coz it has better hardware. I have in laptop GF8400M, on PC GF9800GTX so the difference is big.

I think laptop is not good for game . It harms your laptop power a lot . Be careful if you play game on laptop whole day .

nah personally i will prefer using a desktop as the graphical and performance wise are way better then when you are using a laptop.

"I'd rather play on a desktop rather than laptops".... that's what I used to tell myself... until I have tested the DELL XPS laptops. They can really offer you the power of a desktop... The only downside is that these gaming laptops are also kinda heavy. But believe me... they perform as good as a desktop when it comes to gaming!

I play, like, meager games on the computer, but in my experience, game play seemed to be better and smoother on the desktop. Maybe it's the fact that I'm on a mac and the game is originally for the Linux system. I played Bug Squish on the Mac, and since it's a game of speed... It really wasn't the same, even if I used a mouse. Maybe if I played it on Ubuntu, even on another laptop, maybe it'd be better. But then Alienware was really designed for gaming, right? So I think it would be pretty possible to really use a laptop for gaming. :) Though I don't see the point in getting an expensive machine for... Play. :p Tech ramblings of mine: http://nenyathegeek.blogspot.com http://mobileexpressions.blogspot.com

Well, I would have to say that I have more fun on my desktop. I did write an article on laptop gaming though. If you'd like to read it, here's the link: http://www.gameolosophy.com/Games/Action/Gaming-on-a-Budget.117496 Basically, it discusses gaming on today's low-end to mid-range laptops. I even thought about digging around finding really good games that perform well on new, low-end laptops and make it a running column on my website. But... who has time?
