the journalist here is not a dedicated profession

i can say this due to my experience as an event organizer we got a tender from a wellknown car company to arrange their events the first event is a press conference for their new car launching as a part of a press conference, the media is a major part of it it'll be funny if we had a press conference without the journalist.. LoL but i was surprised that after the event, we must give them an 'envelope' .. well, the people from the company said that this is a-must-do-thing or they won't cover and publish the event on the paper they also said that if the pay is good, they'll put it on the first or second page it is always the money who have the role all this time i always have a good view to journalist but not anymore i wonder if the journalists in other countries did the same thing..

Hello unuzzz, That happens every where and it is not only for that profession. Whatever it is, you must remain the same. Work because you love your work and are willing to do the work; not because of the amount of easy money that you can get by doing that work. My colleague was transferred to another department few months ago when the company received a complaint with the proofs that he's accepting a big amount of money for the work he is supposed to do for free. He get paid every month for his work and yet, he still charging others to get his work done.

hi gr8life i hope you can be a journalist here and post this respond on the big newspaper.. hehee as i got employed, i try to learn that how valuable the money compared to the living needs we have maybe the people i mentioned earlier have a hard life, as they need extra money to survive i tried to be neutral about this, i also learn that the amount of money i make is not enough to pay my bills but what you said is true, we work because we love our work we should always keep and hold the work ethics, which i think will make our work valuable ^^ thanks gr8life !!
