I need advice on haircolor...PLEASE #:)

I want to color my hair. I usually seem to go lighter in the spring and summer, then darker in the fall and winter. I have red in my hair, my camera in my profile picture just doesn't pick it up. I just can't decide if I want to stay darker, or lighter. Or maybe dark with some highlights. Or maybe lighter with some lowlights. AARGGGHHH!!!! And of course my hubby, as usual, has said "do what makes you happy". What does everyone out here think??

hmm..maybe a brighter red?i think it'd really make your eyes stand out.like a dave mustaine reddish maybe..

yes, I did a lighter red,and liked it. But now I want it to look on like its on FIRE!! kinda like Daves, but with everything from dark orangy red to light colored highlights. Sorry it took so long to get back here, I have been horribly sick with cellulitis in my leg, and my computer decided to be sick too!!! #:)

I use henna. I doubt that I will ever use anything else. I LOVE henna!

I totally forgot about henna, I haven't used that since the 70's, back when I used to make the purses out of old jeans!!! Yikes. #:)

I used to try and henna my hair back in those days too, but my own hair color was so similar that you could hardly even tell the difference. I couldn't wait for my hair to start turning gray so it would be worth the effort. Now I have learned to watch what I wish for. But I still love henna.

If you do highlights, can you get them light without red poking through the color? I have a lot of red in my hair and no matter how or what I color my hair, I end up with red in it. If I didn't have so much gray, I'd do highlights, and that's what I recommend - highlights. Easy maintenance.
I change my hair color slightly every few months, no one notices but me or else they don't say - and my husband always says 'do what you want, I don't care...- another one with the big helpful advice huh?
