Before I go and do something stupid, I just want to make sure I understand this. I know the guidelines say I can only upload photos that I own. Thus far I've only uploaded a couple pics of my kids. What if I were to post a discussion about Pogo.com and uploaded a pic of a Pogo game? I assume this would be taboo?

Well maybe. If its your own game being played and you just want to screenshot it, it could be allowed but I can see why it wouldn't be (affiliate site correct?) Its interesting since its your game being played and you just want to show a picture of it. It is your photo, but its from an affiliate/competition site.

No, Pogo.com is a gaming site, not an affiliate site. You actually have to pay them to be a member, LOL. But it's addicting. Perhaps I should have explained myelf better. Let's say there is a general website. The website itself is trade marked, therefor the pics contained on said website would be copywritten. So, if I took a snapshot of something on that site, would it be considered copy written?

It may well be copyrighted, but not to the degree I was thinking. For example, people post logos, works, anime and characters that are trademarked figures. In fact, look at some interest groups and you'll see it (American Idol for example). You might be able to get away with posting the screenshots though. On the side, I hope someone else that uses pogo could help you out here.

Well, how can that be? If one of your interests in music is, for example, 'Faith Hill', there are tons of pictures of her that people uploaded and they were not pictures that those people got with their own cameras. I see lots of pictures uploaded that people found online.
