I found an article about the twenty-five most polluted cities. It does not surprise me that Los Angles is number one on the list. I have Asthma, so I know that I need to live in a better city. But it snows just about everywhere else. WHich is also not good for Asthma. Well check out the article and see how your city ranks. http://www.webmd.com/asthma/news/20080430/report-polluted-air-puts-millions-at-risk

That is really a bad news. and I do not see a solution for people have respiratory problem and live in these cities except leaving to "cleaner" cities. that is the only solution.

I know what you mean, but everyone can't run away. Somebody hast to stay and do something about it. It all starts with us as individuals.

I feel pretty bad for people that live in overly polluted cities, but on the other hand, they do it to themselves. There are lots of ways to cut down on pollution, and I'm sure many people do their part, but I'm also sure that too many people don't. I know that big companies could cut their pollution output, but they don't. More people could carpool, recycle, walk instead of drive, but if the guy down the street isn't going to, why should anyone else?? I lived in a couple of big cities, but not now. I live in beautiful southern Oregon. No pollution, lots of trees. Nature works to our advantage, if we work it. I don't do everything I can do to help save this planet, but I do my part for me & my family. My nephew has asthma and allergies, they have improved immensely since moving up here from Reno. The cleaner the air, the healthier our bodies. I'm in no way blaming you personally, I'm hoping others will see this and change their habits a little. It only takes a second to put the soda can in the recycle bin instead of the trash bin. It's not that hard to carry your garbage to the next garbage can instead of dropping it on the ground.

I totally agree with you. A lot of people need to not only recycle, but teach their children to do it also. They are the ones who will be taking over for us.

Hello, Rozie! Do you live in Los Angeles? And you have asthma? Then you should leave it and go to a cleaner place! It would be way to dangerous to stay where you are right now! I have been searching for my city, and it's not in the Top 25. It is a very polluted city, São Paulo, but it's not on that list, so I guess we are still not the worst. Fortunately, we have many green areas around here, which are constantly cleaning the air. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I do not live in the city of Los Angeles, but I do live in the county. A lot of our green areas have been destroyed. People have built homes and businesses on land that should never have been touched.
