I hate my computer. I have Vista . I have a new computer with almost 2GB and Vista just screws it up constantly.I have an old computer that is 7 yrs old with XP on it and it is better than the new computer. Do you all have issues with Vista also?

Hi. I have a laptop and it has Vista. I never did understand what others complain about it because I jsut ignore it. Actually, I use XP. Is it possible to have Vista nd XP at the same time?It still has the Vista functions like 2 or 3 screens in the one window, has all the added functions in the moviemaker. It still has the vista media center and stuff. I dont know really, I just dont use them. I still use XP since Im already knowledgable about XP. My only problem with it is that it has low memory and thats probably not Vista related. Anyways, why not just install XP in it, or maybe trade it in or something? Well, whatever you decide to do with your computer, hope you consider the amount you purchased it with. Goodluck with your computer.^_^

Yes vista can coexist with XP(there are discussion here about that), but since you said is has a low RAM, you're better off with XP.

I know Vista is not easy to use. So I still stick with XP. You can also change back to old ways. hehe

If you do chuck anything related to your computer, do open it first (yes, I broke a window with a mouse). Just got a new computer running Vista, and whilst I've had some problems, I'm not sure if they're related to Vista or my wireless connection.

Wo, is that for real that you broke a window with a mouse? Did it tick you off to such an extent?

We have a computer at work with vista installed on it. At first I had problems with-it especially with the MS Office Vista. So I have it replaced with the old reliable MS Office 2003 then the ordeal was a little bearable. Learn how to configure your Vista OS to look like windows 98 or windows XP and you will not know the difference. That is until you install some of your old programs and games. Well if you really like to throw your computer away, I cant blame you. Just tell me where so I can pick it up. He he he...

Me me me! I just hate VIsta right now. How can Microsoft came out with something so lame before they try to make it compatible with all software in the world. My antivirus refuse to work with Vista. also some of the programs. At last I just repogram my whole computer and insert my XP again. And I toss out the Vista program. Good riddance.

I have no issues with Vista o my laptop, which is a new model and therefore fully compatable with Vista. I do have major issues if I try running Vista on my desktop because quite a few of the components are a few years old and do not work well with Vista. I would have thought that with a new system you would have no problems either, so I cannot imagine what the problem is.

yes even i have problems with vista, but i have heard from my friends that vista is much more better than xp, why not you use virtualpc 2007 which is freely available on microsoft website, then you can run xp under vista, try it you will love vista then

Not to sound totally vista Biast but I actually think Vista is ok, i struggled when i first got my new PC with Vista on it, but now that i know all the tweaks and tricks that make it work and where to switch off what you don't want etc, i think vista is actually great.

This is a response that I have also added in another discussion : I am using Vista mainly because my computer cna handle it. If your computer has at least 2GB of RAM it can run Vista fine, however XP is a lot faster then Vista in many application, and also there are some applications that do not work with vista. Vista is good mainly because of DX 10 , and if you are new to computer , i thas a friendly user interface that helps you get used to everything SO, if your a gamer, and want performance, I'd recommend XP , but if you ar e aharcore gamer, with a very good PC,go for Vista. If you are using your computer for Music, Movies or writing I would recommend Vista So my Vista is working fine because I have a good computer.

I'd almost always advice my customers to stick with XP unless they insist on going for XP. Well, many don't have much choice as they're preinstalled. But I'm a system builder, so there you have it
