Lately I have made tons

The star color is the number of positive ratings from other people. The best response are given from a person that judges your response the best from all that they have received. They are completely different.

i also have same opinion as ;ike you dear friend. there was a day when i got more than 5 best response in a day but it seem have no effect at all in my earning or even in my rating star points just wondering, if there is no efefct on it why we have e-mail subject "congratulation that you earning a mylot best response"? just still questioning in my head then

My opinion is the best response that counts. The points are given or taken away, the first for those who mark plus whether they agree or not because they felt your post should intelligence. As for the points taken away, we know there are jealous, envious people who have nothing better to do than to give you negatives. And there are people who will negate you because you do not agree with them and have their friends do like wise. I think they are campaigning for dictator of the world.

It may not change your rating star but someone who gets a lot of best responses must be making good quality posts, which is what we are rewarded for at myLot. Even if it does not make any difference, I can still feel pleased every time I get one.

Hey there Lakota Getting a best response may not help your star rating or your earnings but it sure makes you feel good... wouldn't you agree? I think that's what it mostly is... a feelgood measure. It's nice to know that your responses are appreciated and getting a best response tells you that it is. Of course, it always helps if you get a comment on your response too... I always try to do that on my topics.

I don't think the best response help the star rating but you would think that it would. It is just so weird, I have no idea how they do things anymore.

its really nice. i also have made many best responses last month other than all these months i am here on mylot. but my star rating has taken a lot of toll. i have lost countless points on rating and so on interest rankings and all. hope this improve this month.

our star ranking has nothing to do with earnings or responses except in the sense that we are rated by our fellow mylotters by getting either positives or negatives on any posts we make. getting best responses does help in the earnings department however as mine went up some whenever I got a few best responses at one time. the troll with the nasty habit of hitting all minuses is the thing that makes your star go down and your percentage go down.

I don't know about the stars anymore and frankly am caring less about them after mine's rapid plunge downward and partial rise to where it was... It is a bummer when it dips... You deserve those best responses... I thank you for being a loyal to your friends, a frequent poster, and for being one who does her best and one who even comes back and answers more questions when I get curious and want to know more. I appreciate you.

Well I'm still rather new to Mylot, but am beginning to give up trying to make sense of the earnings and ratings. But I do think best response has a bit to do with the star. All I know is just a few days ago I had no rating at all. While responding to my own discussion I noticed the star appear with a 9 in it. The next day I got a best response on a discussion (so far my only one I believe) and next thing I knew my star was a 10. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I think I will be sad if I lose it, but at the same time, I don't want people to constnatly expect great responses from me based on that number.

Hi there, I always try to do my best and respond to discussions wherein I will be able to express my ideas and opinions on that particular matter. I get frustrated sometimes when I don't have some best responses eventhough I really did struggle to make some. I think I definitely post for content and I am not more on the quantity. I am just a newbie here and I would really be glad to say that I am really having such a nice time here. Have a great time as well guys... ^_^

I myself have quite a few best responses and have noticed that it really doesn't help stars or earnings. I think it does boost your ranking in the particular category though. I also think it is just great for overall moral. You tend to respond to more discussions if you are getting appreciated for your response. By the way...great job on all your best responses. You are great my friend. Hugs.
