I am an advocate for nursing. I feel that this is a natural thing and if you choose to nurse your baby, it shouldn't be considered a bad thing. Many people are up in arms about a person nursing in public, even if the is covered while doing this.

If a women can bottle feed her child in public a women should be able to nurse in public. They are both FEEDING their child. What irks me is no one would dare consider asking a bottle feeding mom to feed their baby in a bathroom, but have no problem saying this to a nursing mom. I don't see anything wrong with nursing in public, I've done it before, in the park, in a museum, in a store. I found a comfy place to sit and nursed. I always had my sons in a sling or carrier,so it was easy to be discreet.

I get so angry at people who try to put a woman down for doing what her body was naturally intended for.

I agree that it is the most natural thing in the world. There is nothing wrong with nursing in public. Sad when no one has a problem with people kissing and making out in public, but when it comes to something natural like a mother nursing her child there is such an embassament. It should be the other way around.

"Allowed"? Yes. I think it should be done as privately as possible, or covered up, but it should definitely be allowed. Babies need to eat!!! And people who have a problem with that are just trying to
