Odd question but what do you pay in water a month?

Our small town just changed their way of charging for water and everyone is going crazy. Water bills have gone up to over $100 a month. It seems very high to me but it has been a while since I have had to pay for water since I lived in apartments before moving here where water was paid. So what is your average water bill?

$600 per quarter so about $200 per month. and that's WITH conservation.it's damn ridiculous. and the quality's not good either.more often than not,it looks brownish out of the tap.but the city's decided they can charge what they want, nobody's stopping them.

My water bill is my favorite bill~ because I don't have one:) We have a well at our house, so our water is free.

Our water bills are up to about $90 a month but we have six people living here, plus I do my dad's laundry. We just fixed a dripping faucet so I hope that will help a little bit. One thing people can do is to install a new, water-saving toilet. When we replaced our old toilet our water bill dropped $15 a month! The newer low-flow toilets are much more efficient than when they first came out, and can pay for themselves in just a few months!

what a higher price. we have abundant source of water here. we are very lucky but sometimes when heavy rain comes the flood reached many house, like what happen to me few days ago that is why i am transferring to another home that the flood can't reached my belongings. all my stuff and important documents are wet until now some of them i dried everyday. my average water consumption every month is $5 only.

My water and garbage pick up bill is combined. But it is about $90 per month. This is on what is called a budget plan. I have a true up bill once a year that is usually about $200 extra. We have been in drought for 5 years now and on water restrictions. There are rules for how much water we can use per household based upon the size of the home. For those in the neighborhood with pools they have to get a special permit for filling and topping off the pools. One of my neighbors got a fine for overuse last year because they were watering their lawn to often. The fine was $1,500!
