Ah, the sun is shining and the temp is just right, what do YOU like to do in the sun? For me, I love to sit outside and read. I love to watch the lawn being cut, flowers in bloom and a nice warm breeze. What do YOU like to do in the sun?

I like to sit in the sun and read a book or magazine. Sometimes I like to take a walk, if it isn't too hot. Today, during my lunch break, I went to the park nearby and sat on the baseball bleachers and read my book. It was warm and the breeze felt nice. I want to keep doing that but, gas prices have me worrying about the short drive to that park and back to the office. It could, over the course of a week, cost me another gallon of gas and, seriously...I can't even believe that I am so concerned given how close to my office the park is. Sheesh! LOL! Anyway, I love the smell of spring. It is clean and fresh and if warmth had a smell, that is what it would smell like. LOL!

I know exactly what you mean. This year I won't be able to even afford to drive to the one lake or the one park that I would normally goto at least 3 or 4 times a week to read or to even fish. I don't think the kids will be going to the lake to go swimming either. Is the park close enough that you would be able to get a bike and ride to it during your lunch time or would it take too long. Is there a place closer that would be just as relaxing outside?

The park is close enough to ride a bike or walk but, I would have to go through some areas with traffic that I would drive a car through. People don't pay much attention and there are blind curves and no sidewalks to keep me safe either on bike or foot. Plus, I have to pass one neighborhood that is a bit dicey so, it is just safest if I take my car. The only other place I could go is to the bench behind my building but, that is in the shade and I can't move it into the sun. plus, it is in the parking lot so, it wouldn't be peaceful and calm like I would want it to be. I am sorry to hear that you won't be able to get to the lake near you as much! Unbelievable what we are having to give up due to gas prices! Not only do we work harder than any country with less vacation time but, now we have to work even harder to pay for gas to get us to our job where we keep having to work harder and more just to keep repeating that cycle with no breaks because, then we have to buy even more gas. Nice!

Well, if I said anything but go fishing, anyone that knows me will know that I am lying. There are other things I enjoy, like putt putt golf with my two boys, visiting friends, etc.

I am SO going to miss going fishing this year also. With the price so high on gas, I won't be going much of anywhere that is not needed.

Usually, I like going on window-shopping trips, or just spending time with God, looking out at the trees in front of my window, or enjoying the setting sun. :) Reading would also be great; I do long to read under the trees in the afternoon sun.. Soon. :) It's a new day, indeed! http://www.elijahstreams.com

I love being able to see the sunrise and sunset from my windows also. God does wonderful painting in the sky. The sun rises in my bedroom and sets in the kitchen. I will have to check out your sites. Thanks.
