BIG busted ladies,, do you wear vests?

So, the vest trend... I have an hourglass figure. 36-27-35. I recently bought a vest because they look so cute on other girls and they are trendy. It totally highlights my size E chest, but it also shows off my waist. I'm wondering, should I rock the vest? What do you wear that flatters your curves?

I tried on a really cute sleeveless top to wear alone with a skirt; even without my bra on, I couldn't get it buttoned up! 
I'm a 40-32-36 (I think?) and I was so disappointed! I generally wear tops with a low v-neck, to show some cleavage (not a lot, because then all eyes are right there!)

It really draws attention, was my point, so if you want to highlight your curvy figure I think it could look good. I'm not sure though, because I've also heard that vests are not for those with big chests... I don't want to look tacky, you know?

The sleeveless top I mentioned was slimming; most of the ones I get either don't go across my bust, gap under the arms (drawing more attention to my bust), or aren't fitted and make me look pregant!
