It has often been said that it is much easier to to destroy a building than to put up a new one. And in selecting this statement, I am actually referring to our speech. When it comes to your speech, do you know that you can tear down or build up other people around you? How often do we build others or tear them down with our speech?

Hi byola. It is really true. I know people that feel pleasure to tear down the others. And they really get it. A bad and poisonous speech can destroy and mark for all the life one person. I stay away this kind of people UUUGH. All my life if I can't say a good thing or a good speech I keep my mouth closed. I don't want never to be regreted for a speech that hurt someone.

yes its very important to note that sometimes the words we choose to speak can be more than a snake"s venom when released and it can actually kill without our knowing it while some people actually enjoy doing this i think there is a need for a rethink in this department of our lives and we shall see that we willbe more of help than killing others.thanks for your sweet response.

It is true that building your reputation is difficult than destroying it. Many times in our life, we are careless about our speech especially when anger burns inside that we utter words which are not supposed to come out. In just a matter of seconds, our reputation is destroyed, but it takes years to build it. Therefore, we need to be calm every time we feel angry, and keep our mouth shut until we are composed.

yes you are very correct it takes longer to build anything in life especially when it is positive while destruction is the easiest,i wonder why its like that!our speech sometimes have a way to either build,or destroy,it can open doors for us while it can slam a door in our face,so what do we do but to learn to say good things without being inscere

There are a few people that I would love to tear down completely one being the evaluater at VBH!!!! She has no degree in psychology and can't keep my kids straight when trying to say what they should recieve. She mixes them up and doesn't pay attention to the problems and the she hears only what she wants to hear. She is evil and has no right having her job when she says my child was hospitalized only a day to make it seem like it wasn't that bad I want to strangle her with my words becuase the truth was that my son was hospitalized for a week and then she went on to say I'm not giving him the meds that will correct his problem when she was told that he was not able to take stimulant based meds and the blood pressure med was only to calm his hyperactivity down and that wasn't even needed to help him with his issues it would just make him sleepy and tired not correct the problems he has. so she made a big ado about nothing. grrr. she is an idiot that can't do her job right. Now I build my kids up and tell them what a good job they are doing in school how smart they are and how beautiful they are and how much I love them I will also build my friends and family up and even strangers that are kind but someone who has no clue and is jepordizing my childs well being I want to make them quit their job and find something more suited to their qualifications and experience and what they can handle.

I do not know how often, only I know that I would rather not talk to too many people! It is easy to misunderstand others and what they are saying.

Oh yes, I can understand that, if you have to, and it is better to be careful! Sometimes it is tough to do when you hear so many people jumping on the bandwagon, as in a discussion where nobody wants to think differently! But if it is your job, and you have to have good communication skills, then I can understand trying a lot harder to be kind in the first place!

yes i get what you are trying to say here but if you must work in an enviroment where you have to deal with a lot people daily you have no choice than to talk so much but it only requires you to learn to think on your feet before letting out words lest it starts what you dont intend it to be.
