I hate Spring Colds

I have been around many people this past winter and have managed to stay away from the cold and flu. Well, here it is May 7th and I am home with sick with a bad cold. I was spiking fevers all last night and woke up this morning intending on going to work. I knew yesterday that I was coming down with the cold because I was feeling some of the symptoms. I do not call of sick often but there was no way I could have made it in. The head was pounding, like the top wanted to blow right off, the throat is scratchy and burning, the sinus was stuffed and now running and burning and so far I have has 2 more fevers today. I have been drinking hot green tea with lemon and honey, plenty of water and for lunch I had the traditional chicken noodle soup with a few saltine crackers and an orange. Just when the weather is beautiful out, I get this stupid cold. It aggravates me to no end that I made it this long without a cold and Wah Bam! Do you get many Spring or Summer colds and what do you take to help get rid of them or to prevent from getting them?

I have one too.....and an earache as an added bonus. It seems like they are almost worse then a winter one...I had chicken soup for lunch too...and have been eating sinus meds and ibuprofen......can't wait until it's over!

Oh Wow that is not a good bonus. I sure hope you get over it soon. I don't have an ear ache yet but I can feel the sinuses filling up. I am on a day time medicine but I know I will need something stronger for tomorrow. Hope you get well soon.

Summer colds are the worse, I agree it takes longer to get rid of them. The weather doesn't help either, it is hot out and if you have a fever on top of the heat it is just a terrible combination. Thank-You for the well wishes.
