At this moment in time the devastation caused by the cyclone that hit Burma has reached at death toll of 100,000 plus. I know it is difficult for aid to reach the area but is anyone actively trying to help?£20 could help provide two relief packages containing water purification tablets, medicines and food, if you would like to be able to actively help please go to www.christianaid.org.uk if you are unable to please please say prayers for the poor survivors who desparately need help to reach them. I thank you all in advance for your prayers and concern and donations if able to. God bless. Ellie :D

I would really love to help but I don't have any money I am the poor here in Canada, and I am one step away from being destitute.

Its a UK one though Jill but I think we all should try to help as actively as possible whether that be in thougts and prayer or actively by financial or physical help. I am unable to help physically as I have committments here but will do all I can financially and in prayer. Ellie :D

I saw it was a uk one but I am sure I can find one for over here...I can't believe the devistation they are facing....I'll say a little pray for them too..do you know actually today that is all I could think of....on the news it said they don't want any help but the United Nations is going to make them take some help....there just too much for them to do!

I don't think it will do any good, as the junta there is not allowing much aid in the country, and any aid that will go in they will keep for themselves.

They have now let UN aid through, I understand what you are saying, it is frustrating, the disaster itself was bad enough but not letting the aid through is a man made one and an unnecessary one too. I am praying for the people. Ellie :D

PPl of Burma have been in my prayers since last week. They are brave and fighting it out. I just wish relief operations are allowed there without any political issue. God bless Burma.

Hi Candee, yes I know they have bless. The original disaster was natural but the one the people are facing now is a man made one by them not allowing the aid through quickly and completely unnecessary eh! They are now starting to let UN aid through but obviously this has not been quick enough for many poor people. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all. Ellie :D

Dear God, Please in the name of Jesus make it possible for the poor people of Burma to get the immediate help through that they so desparately need. I thank you in advance for making this possible and for stopping any more unecessary suffering. Amen. Ellie :D

This is sad! I heard that some parts are allowing food and material things but ppl are actually not allowed to go in. They fear regime from outside! Thanks eliie for this discussion. Let's pray.
