My daughter used to make a delicious Taco Pizza that could hold its own to that made at Pizza Hut. Has anyone made their own homemade Taco Pizza - do you have a recipe you might share?

I have had taco pizza a few times, but I have never made it myself. It would be fun to try making it sometime though. Care to share your daughters recipe with us?

She made it back when she was still in high school - she's a 33 year old mother of 2 now! If I remember correctly, she used just a regular pizza crust and then mixed refried beans and pizza sauce together for the base. She then put browned growned beef over that and then cheddar and mozarella cheeses mixed on the top. After baking, she put shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and diced onions on top and served with taco sauce to put on as desired.

That sound really good and I might just try out that one, except I have a problem with sodium, so some of the seasoning packets that you buy for tacos would probably bother me. I usually make a whole wheat thin crust pizza, top it with spaghetti sauce (low sodium) and pile any type of veggies on it. It comes out great! Cheese would be good on this, too, but it gives me headaches.
