As I have mentioned we shop at Sams Club and share with our daughter and her family. Now this past weekend our daughter was here with the youngest grandson and of course we went to Sams Club. Sure enough after a little bit of shopping and eatuing the free samoples here comes Hunter carrying this monsterous tub of Cheeze Balls. One of his favorite treats. Of course we bought it for him as well as one for my house. these things are huge. This thing is just about as big as he is. Do you buy huge items like this and share or just for yourselves? I weanted to share this one but couldn't think of what to put half of it into so I bought one for us as well. now next time I'll have the empty container to share. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I couldn't help but laugh at the description of your grandson. I do know how that is. My niece used to love those as well. For most things we'll just keep them here but there are other items from Sam's club that we just won't go through them all before they go bad. If that is the case we'll usually split it with my parents. That way we both get the items at a good price and nothing goes to waste.

Gee that sounds familiar but with us going over to my parents place . Actually though we haven't done it in a long time but we have in the past gone over there to see what they might have extra on.

Yeah we share a lot with the daughter. It's like she comes over to have us take her grocery shoopping there or she opens our cupboards and does her grocery shopping that way. Too funny, but we love it. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Would Hunter want to share? Or would he really ‘accept’ half a tub? Knowing kids his age, tough luck there! I guess my son’s the same age (would be 9 this July) and what your daughter says is correct. Kids eat so fast and grow so fast (esp boys)!!! I am amazed at my son’s capacity to eat. My Dad dotes on his only grandchild and he sure knows how to make grandpa go bankrupt by the middle of the month. I don’t indulge him that much and I usually buy small packs of ‘treats’ for him. I love cheese balls myself and such other stuff, but have to keep my waist in check!!! So no sharing for me

This little one can eat and eat and eat. he is autistic so that's a problem as far as knowing when to stop eating. But he does eat a lot when he gets started. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

No wonder your Grandson loves you so much! I don't usually buy such huge amounts of things but we do like to buy lots when things we use regularly are on special! My friend often shares with us when she get big or multiple packs of things - supposedly cos they will never use it all - it is just her and her partner - but honestly AGB I think she buys it so that she can share with us - she is so lovely to me! xxx

Wow! That is a big container of cheese balls. I have never heard of that brand before. Are they any good? I don't have a Sam's membership, but I have thought about getting one. My brother has a membership, but I always forget to drag him when I am up visiting him.

My mom does things like that. If it says 2 for $5, something like that. She will get both and give me one. I tell her she doesn't have to get both to get the sale price. She will also buy a larger package of stuff. take a few items out and give me the rest. Its a parent thing. I can't do that. I have a houseful of people, with hungry mouths. That is nice to do, the grandsons will remember stuff like that.

I haven't bought things for other people in so long but I always loved to do that. I miss being able to see children's eyes light up. If we do buy something for our grandson, he shares it with his step brother and sisters.

I know exactly what you are talking about-- My friend buys these same cheese balls from Sam's... they are huge---- We don't usually buy in bulk at my house- I'm afraid the stuff would get stale. We switch up snacks all the time-- so I don't think they would get eaten. We do buy meats and other things like that in bulk- as we just put it in smaller sizes and freeze it. I need to make a trip to Sam's- maybe this weekend!

if I buy something that big, I would 'have' to share it. Even though I would buy it for myself. It would take forever for me to get through it. I have bought huge things and share it half with my mom. But *cheesey puffs* that is a different story. They would 'make' me share it. I think that buying in the huge amounts save dollars as to buying the smaller amounts.

It will take me a LONG time to eat all this as well. it will go stale before I can finish them. Well that is unless the grandsons visit soon again. They'll eat them quickly I am sure. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

thats a good idea for you to have an extra container to share it next go round. My mom bought this for my daughters first birthday and we found out she was taking a bite of them and putting them back into the container lol. She was only one so she didn't really know any better so it then became her container. They became stale before she could eat all of them.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Well, if I buy big ones like that I will choose the ones that I like the most but will also share it since I don't think I will enjoy eating it alone. haha..Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day!

My niece also loves the huge tub of cheese balls! Most times, I'll just store the cheese balls in large ziploc bags. The container gets rinsed out and usually used to store some of her small toys, or she'll simply play with it.

Thats such a great idea. I shop at Costco, which may as well be the same store. I'm thinking about getting a membership to Sam's Club as well. While I only live with my boyfriend, it is just easier to go to Costco or Sam's and buy tons of whatever you need than go to the store 3 times a week. I get all kinds of meats and cheese and freeze them, plus all the desserts. That cheesecake that is like 1.5 feet wide is almost too much for me to resist(and sometimes I cant). Sams and Costco work well for is, my boyfriend is a cop, and since we live closest to the station, people will stop by just to say hi or for dinner. I love being able to just have something on hand to defrost and cook quickly, and these places let me do this cost effectively. Most of my friends can't cook, and some I am in the process of teaching, so I share pre-made meals made from stuff I have gotten at Costco. I make 5 or more huge batches of lasagna at a time, freeze a couple and give a couple away.

Yes we buy lots of things and share them. In the group its me, my parents, my sister, my uncle and his god parents. Whe we find a really good bargain (say a 4 l cooking oil can that sells for $14 and now its $7 we call and aske everyone if they want some), we also buy in bulk that way its cheaper and we all get some (not just with the oil but fruit, vegetables, cheese and other things)
