Don't you just hate it when your computer isn't working right?

The Norton that was supposed to be protecting my computer decided it wasn't going to work right this week. I picked up a virus or two and my computer slowed down. That's when I thought, oh oh. After 3 days of grief and $239, it's working ok now. But, I don't trust Norton anymore. I really missed my internet time. I was still at the computer trying to get it fixed. Not the type of computer time I like. Anyone else have problems with Norton? The one I have is the "free" one that comes with my at&t/yahoo.

To be honest i dislike Norton , a lot of ppl been saying the same thing , you are not fully protected with Norton , im so happy ive switched to Karpesky , ive never picked up any virus since. it sucks when your computer is down and you cant get online.

I don't like them, either. But, I'm stuck with them through my at&t/yahoo. I know you aren't supposed to have two virus protection programs on your computer at the same time, but, I'm thinking about it.

I got sick of using the brand name commercial ones, as I too have had problems in the past with Norton and McAfee. So i decided to scrap them and go with a "FREE" one, Ashampoo firewall, so far it has protected me and i have no complaints about it.

My computer has also been acting up lately. It's almost like you can't be on it for too long and then it will start to freeze up. It is fine if you haven't been on it for a long time. There are times when it works perfect, like right now its not going slow or froze up on me at all. Yesterday was another story. It froze up on me a lot. I don't have Norton though. I have Panda. I am not sure its the anti virus thing though with my computer. I have had this computer for a very long time and I think I need a new one to be honest. I don't have the money though. This computer might just have some viruses two though, I don't know.

That's what mine was doing. I had AVG before, and there is a free one, that got rid of viruses before, but I can't use them and Norton, too. I don't know anything about Panda. Maybe try AVG and clean up cookies/temp files and something will help.
