The device was a satellite phone showing the position of other similar ones. We saw lot of them when the 4 boaties arrived in the second (?) episode. With them they can only talk with the boat and with each others. Anyway, Jack didn't understood what Frank was trying to say... Frank knows Keamy could kill anyone so he's giving them the phone to stay AWAY, not to follow them... maybe Jack is still weak from the operation and oculdn't think so much :P I still don't know what I have to think about Claire... in the last mobisode we say Christian talking with Vincent (the dog) so that could mean that he's alive (or that animals can see ghosts) and another hint could be that Miles has seen him too and he hadn't the strange face like when he was listening to the voices. What makes me wonder that there was something weird about Claire is that she was smiling and saying she's safe when she knew that they left Aaron alone near the tree...
