I quit about 9 months ago and I'm happy that I did, but I really miss it. I really don't want my kids growing up seeingme smoking and thinking it is ok. That was my biggest motivator (other than finding out I'm pregnant). And I know how terrible it is for me but I really miss it alot.

I quit almost four years ago now, I've lapsed once or twice and smoked for maybe a week, I did that when I changed jobs last year, I felt so stupid, but I was soooo stressed out I didn't know how else to handle it. But I quit pretty quickly, I had quit once before for a whole year and started again when my divorce began, I see a trend here. LOL Gotta watch myself, I'll be moving to a new house in a few months that we're building, uh oh. Thanks for this topic, you got me thinking...:) +

I quit with the patch also, I used it everyday and one day forgot it and realized I didn't even think about it, it took about a week. They say it only takes three weeks to form a new habit or break a bad one, so three weeks seems to be the threshold of hope.

I still smoke but I am planning on trying to quit. I quit once for 2 yrs but fell back into the habit. Used the patch to quit last time. Maybe it will work for me again this time.

I have never smoked nor will I ever. I find the heath risks of smoking waaay too bad for the 'benefits' involved. There are plenty of other ways to get the stress relief that smoking supposedly brings.

I have never smoked and never plan on smoking. Everyone else in my family smokes. I am the only person in my family that includes extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins that doesn't smoke. I find it kind of sad that I will probably die of lung cancer because of all the second hand smoke I have inhaled over the past 24 years. I guess I need to sue the Tabacco companies for the damage they have caused me, LOL!

I smoke but I had quit smoking for 3 years and just started again this january. I always thought I could just stop but it seems almost impossible. I quit easily before because I had become pregnant. Its such a nasty habit
