Watching a good TV show or discussing on mylot?what would you prefer?

Well, an hour back I was watching a very interesting show on TV, when during the break I came to check my mail and with that opened mylot. Though the show was quite interesting but after sitting and going tthrough the mylot discussions, I am stuck here now and didn't go to watch the rest of the show. Did it happen with you anytime or for that matter with any other source of entertainment where you preferred to be on mylot?

Our tv is in the same room as the computer, and where I am sitting on the computer I can actually see the tv, but the amount of programmes that I miss because I get that engrossed in what I am doing on here is amazing!! I do not think that I ever get to see the whole of a programme through at all when I am on here.

I agree with you gemini. Though I watch programmes which really interest me but inspite of that if by mistake in between I log on that that means I'm totally hooked .

The only time the TV gets my Attention is if there is a good Film on lol then I will come away from here
Apart from that I will watch it while I am on here as my Computer is in the Living room
Before the Computer I used to prefer reading then watching the TV now I read at Night in bed as I still love reading

Oh I always watch tv when I reach home from work. There's a tv soap that I often watch. When I am in the mood to get online and do myLotting, I will open the laptop and get online, do myLotting, but at the same time watch the tv in my room. That is why I am so slow here in myLot. As of now the tv is on, watching the tv documentary, and I am also mylotting.

Oh that's great!unfortunately my desktop and TV are in separate rooms but I liked the idea. I'll try to keep them in the same room. Thanx.

Thank goodness for my DVR. I've put on one of the shows to watch and sat down at the computer "just for a minute". There I am an hour later and the TV show has ended no more than ten feet behind me on the television.
I get off and go to recorded shows. Like I said, I DVR all my favorite shows - couldn't survive without it - myLot does sneak up on you.

Of course I would prefer to spend my time on mylot. TV for me is a thing of past. I have watched Tv only 4-5 times since I have joined the mylot. I think mylot is the best entertainment for me now.

hi jobs! I also rarely watch TV. Once in while even if i watch I have to get up during break. I check mail and then get stuck to mylot.LOL!

hehehe...usually my only problem with choosing between the two is when I want the computer on my lap and lounge back too far that I can't see the TV over the screen because we don't have it up on a stand yet.
