Ok I'm on folding my third load of laundry with no end in site for more laundry. I swear I feel as if I'm the only one here that ever does the laundry I'm begining to hate it. So thanks for listening to my rant. Now to make this a discussion How many loads of laundry to you do a week?

I hear you loud and clear. Its not the stuffing them in the washer, its the folding and putting away. Grrrr........, but what I hate even more than that is the darn dishes. They never stop. I hate DISHES!!!

Thankfully, my partner does the laundry for me but it's generally about six loads per week and I have to do the ironing which I really hate... especially since my partner likes to have everything ironed. I swear that she would get me to iron the underpants if I didn't protest

My mom seems to be a lot of laundry. I literally have one load of laundry a week. Sometimes I may have more if something happens and I spill something on my clothes or what not, however one basket seems to be it. My mom always has two or more loads. I can see having to wash towels too, but she always has tons and tons of clothes to wash. I'm not sure how she manages to have that much to wash either.

I love doing laundry. Can I come over and do your ten louds?! Please....I love it and it's one of my favorite chores. What I hate doing is cutting the lawn...maybe you could do that for me? Hehehehe. I usually do two to three loads a week, but would gladly do your ten loads, too. I love washing clothes, can you tell? . Pablo

Lovely life of laundry - Why is it mostly women doing it?
It doesn't ever stop unless there's no need for clean clothes anymore. I don't think that'll happen any time soon. My hubby and I have made it much easier though, we put all color clothes in the washer and the whites in the hamper so no sorting is needed and when the washer is full, the washer gets started and put into the dryer. Otherwise, I don't think we'd ever get clean clothes. Boy wouldn't the public just gag at us naked! Oh my... don't even wanna go there, huh?

yer gonna think me a freak even more than you prolly already do now.. but i like doing laundry.. ok, thats not exactly true.. i LOVE doing laundry LOL theres something aesthetically pleasing about a neatly folded pile of clean clothing.. and when i have the weather for hanging my sheets and towels in the sun.. im all gone.. ive got one of them old fashioned wicker clothes baskets and old wooden clothespin just for the job.. standing in my barefoot in the grass.. basket of freshly cleaned sweetsmelling linen at my feet.. sun warming my back.. butterlfies and dragonflies buzzing around and the soft song of birds all around me.. ahhh paradise! part of my landscaping planning here is to create a grove of flowering trees and bushes with my clothesline as the focal point of the area to make it even more so. same as you.. im the only one that does the laundering here.. but its by my order. mal ocassionally will do laundry, and it irritates me ..;giggles;.. im horribly anal about how its done, the settings on the machines, stain removals, presoaking, pre treating.. you get the picture. i get about 2 loads per day to do.. with three on sunday when i do all of the linens. and when i happen to not have laundry.. i FIND some to do!! soo to answer yer question.. in an average week i have about 15ish loads to do.

This weekend I have never stopped washing, the weather has been hot and the kids have been playing in the pool so they have used every towel in the house and gone through loads of clothes. Other than that I am usually quite strict on what people in the house consider to be dirty and so that limits it a bit, but I still do at least 2 loads a day.

hi I really dont havemuch to do as aI only have my own laundry but right now its staring me in the face as I have put it off too long. I have a bad arm due to a shoulder joint replacement so it does sort of hinder me in wanting to do it as often as I should . I can see for those with a family it gets to be an never ending story.

i am fortunate that i don't have to do so many laundry in a week... i don't have a child yet and i am only living with my hubby at the moment... so i only do 1 load of laundry every week... but it is a full load of laundry... if i have to wash the bedsheets, then it will be 2 loads then... but that's about it...

None, nil, zip, zero , none at all!lol Only cos I can't bend over to sort and load the machine! I used to do about 4 loads a day and tehre are only 4 of us in the house - I have no idea where it came from! Since the other half started doing the laundry there is less washing but then there is less to wash as he will not listen to how you should load the washing machine and turns things very funny colours! lol Hope your rant helped make you feel better! xxx

i would say 6-7 loads depending.especially since i now have to half load the towels beings as my washer had decided it doesn't like them.and they still seem wetter than normal. it can be as many as 9 if blankets need washed.

When my girls were younger, i did not have a washer, dryer and so I always had to lug them to the laundrymat a couple of times per week. As they got older they became involved in the ordeal. Oh, I hated it. It was so time consuming...I had 4 kids. Finally, A few years back , I invested in a washer and dryer. I don't mind laundry a bit now. They did theirs and I did mine plus towels. Now it is just me and my 14 yr old and the 21 yr old (temporarily moved back in). They both do their own. I don't know how old your kids are but if they are too young to do their own, then look at the bright side....no laundrymats. If they are older....time for them to learn. I know it is neverending. I feel about dishes as you do about laundry.
