Hi, As many on mylot who know me already realize, I lost about 90 pounds a year ago. I always seemed to go on yo-you diets and fad diets but nothing ever really seemed to work. I began to realize there is no miracle diet and there is a very simple formula to follow if you wish to lose weight. How about you? Do you try fad diets. Or is it more of a lifestyle change. I found a couple of articles on this topic and and I have left a link to some. cheers, http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/747047/weight_loss_miracle_this_is_no_beyonce.html

I have found that the Atkins diet (even though there is a lot of bad publicity on it) has been really helpful with me losing weight. I lost 70 pounds in less than a year when I was in high school. That was with doing the diet AND exercising. And just recently (because i had put a lot of it back on when I got out of school because I stopped the diet and didn't exercise as much) I went back on it and have lost about 20 pounds. And thats without being able to exercise much. It is a hard diet to stay on though because there are so much stuff you have to take out of your daily diet. But if you can manage it (and maintain it which I have found to be the hard part) it is a really good diet to be on, especially when you are exercising a few times a week.

Hi, Thanks for the comment. I think I prefer to change the lifestyle overall without limiting by dieting. My two cents. cheers, :)

i do not think that there are any miracles diets that will help you loose weight, but i think that the right kind of diet coupled with proper exercise will certainly help you to loose weight. and all those thing that promise to reduce the weight by eating them do harm to the body. have a nice day.

Hi, I really think you have nailed it with that comment. It has to be a lifestyle change. cheers,

Thanks for the link. I myself just try to exercise more and drink more water when I am trying to lose weight. I will also try to eat more yogurt and fruit.
