A Seagull Nicknamed Sam by Locals goes into a shop in Aberdeen,Scotland when the Automatic doors are opened, helps itself to a bag of Doritos from a display, and takes them outside and opens the bag to eat them! Locals have "Adopted" the feathered filcher, and even pay for his takeaways! http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_6900000/newsid_6908600/6908693.stm? Have You ever seen anything like this? I have seen that video and it is terrific. No I have never seen anything like that before. I think it is just amazing. I think it is very smart of that bird to figure out how to get the Doritos. I don't understand how the bird figured out that the Doritos were good, but they must have smelled really good or something. Anyway, it is a great video.

It's thought he may have found a discarded half eaten pack, then recognised the same pack on the display near the door..the rest is comedy!

Wow!!! That's really something. I'm so glad the locals can see the humour in it. They should get this feathered thief on video, and send it to America's Funniest Home Videos, or something (even if it's not in America). I bet the $10,000 prize would more than cover the chips its stolen, or ever will steal.

I haven't seen this video before, but I was victim of a similar attack lol. There is a restaurant in my area called Alabama Fish Bar. They used to give out free birthday dinners. I had gone to get one one year, but I didn't know that I would be forced to share. I didn't get a bag for my meal, as I didn't live far away and I figured I would pick on it until I got home. Big mistake. I swear this pigeon had been watching National Geographic, and was stalking me. As soon as I left the restaurant with my fish dinner, he dove-bombed off of one building, picked up a whole piece of whiting from my basket, with no less skill than an Eagle grabbing a trout out of a stream, and flew off to another rooftop to devour his prey. I was so mad that day, I hadn't planned on sharing my dinner!!!

I've heard of cities where pigeons will take seed from your hands, and the raiding habits of other Gulls at seaside resorts..but it's the first time I'd heard of a Pigeon swiping someone's fish!

How funny is that ( lol ) that's the first I've heard of that one. At least they are letting him have it and not trying to be mean by haveing the animal control try and shoot it or something. We have small little birds that fly in down in the lawn and garden area where I work I love to listen to them chirp and talk to eachother. If they start flying out into the main part of the store where customers can get worried ( not like the birds are going to hurt them or anything ) we have to call animal control to have them caught and set thrm free outside. They are cute and help them selves to the birdseed out on lawn and garden area floor but noone seems to mind it any as long as they stay out there.
