We Have to Wait Until Fall to Meet the New Walker Love Child!

Can you even believe it? Withdrawal has already set in for me and the show only ended a few hours ago. So, Rebecca isn't William's daughter but he apparently has another lover child - he got around, didn't he? Poor Nora when she finds out there was yet another "other woman". Was I the only one who got a sort of creeped-out feeling when they were discussing the baby picture and the fact that the initial "R" was what was in the password which they had thought stood for Rebecca - for a minute there I was thinking "Oh, no, Kitty's married to her brother!" They said a "jaw-dropper" on the previews and that certainly would have been a jaw-dropper! I guess that would be a bit too far-out even for this show. They've just about covered every other controversial subject known to man and they touched on incest a bit with Justin thinking he was having weird feelings about the girl he believed to be his sister. Since we have months to discuss what's going to happen next season we might as well get started. Any predictions or comments on tonight's season finale? Annie

I didn't think they woulg go as far as kitty is married to her brother because that would burn the character forever, they won't be able to squeeze politics in anymore if they did that . I like about the show that it touches your heart no matter what you do no matter what they talk about or what they touch on. I teared up when the boyfriend's family wouldn't come up to the wedding and was hoping that they would drive up after he leaves and surprise them and embrace the couple's choice. I think next season is going to be as full as this one was , I think kitty is finally going to get pregnant after she adopts a child, I think they are going to search for that new walker, the company's financial situation is going to get better because of Sal's work and he will meet someone but would not commit . As for Becca's mom , she is going to stay on top of the wave as she always did , she is going to ride whatever life throws at her. Let's see , I can't wait till next season. By the way , does anyone know when Army wives, if ever, is going to come back?

I didn't really seriously think they'd do that with Robert and Kitty, but it was just a momentary thought. I was also hoping Scotty's father at least would show up, I think he was more receptive to the idea than the mother was. She struck me as a real b1tch...lol! The writers and the whole cast of this show are amazing, in my opinion. They manage to keep the flow going so well and to have the interaction between the characters and the segue from one storyline to another go so smoothly. This is the perfect example of an ensemble case, I think. There's not one single star that could alone carry the show but if any one of them were to go they'd be greatly missed, they just all have such chemistry and play off each other so well. Oops, I almost forgot - Army Wives is coming back in June, somewhere near the middle of the month if I'm not mistaken. Thank God for the cable networks having their series on the opposite time of the regular networks so we're not totally mired in rerun he11 all summer! Annie

I agree that it would have been really sweet for Scotty's parents to end up coming to the wedding, but I think it's "real-er" for it to have come down the way it did. Maybe they'll come around next season when the Chinese baby girl is adopted... :) Seriously, what a great show and what a great episode!

OK, do you know something I don't? Is someone going to adopt a Chinese baby girl and if so will it be Kevin and Scotty or Kitty and Robert? Or are you only joking...lol! Annie

I am having withdrawals already too. I LOVE, love, love this show. Wow, the R for Robert never occurred to me. I am racking my brain... who can it be? I keep trying to contect it to Sal somehow, but haven't come up with anything yet. I can't believe it is over already. I wanted one or two more weeks.

I know, it really seems like the season was way too short. The strike sure messed things up, didn't it? Now the actors' contract expires in June and I sure hope they don't strike! Annie

Wow, it never even crossed my mind that the R could be Robert. That would have been awful. Gosh, how I wish he was actually a politician in the race this year. I would vote for him in a heartbeat, even though he's a Republican! The thing I'm wondering is if William knew that Ryan was his. I guess he must have. Then, did he also believe that Rebecca was his? Must not, or there would have been 7 initials in the password instead of 6 and it would have ended in 2 R's. I'm trying to remember back when we first started learning about Rebecca. Holly insisted that she wasn't William's, and it seems like she maybe even said that she had told William that Rebecca wasn't his. If William did not believe Rebecca to be his, then he must have really loved Holly to leave her all of that money. But it won't just be Nora who will be devastated to find out that there was another other woman. I would imagine that if Holly went all of those years thinking that William would be hers if it wasn't for his family, it would destroy her to find out that there was at least one other woman out there. Sounds like old William was a player, and it's a shame. In that first episode, he seemed to be such a good man. I guess it's possible to be a womanizer and a good man at the same time, but it definitely shakes the foundation of what they all believed about him. The Justin & Rebecca thing was cool. I had read online that the two actors had actually dated for a while but they are not together anymore. I guess that partially accounts for the great chemistry between them. It reminded me of when Sydney & Vaughn got together on Alias, after the two actors had dated and then broken up. Figures, huh? I also really liked the scene where Kitty & Robert talk about adoption. She was so excited about adopting that it touched me. I thought it was wonderful. And, I'm really glad that Scotty's dad is (quietly) supportive. It's kind of a shift from other storylines I've seen when it was the mother who was supportive. The cufflinks were really sweet. I love Scotty & Kevin together. Who would have predicted this when they first met early in the first season? But isn't it wonderful. And wasn't it great when Nora gave her speech about how Kevin deserved a wedding just like everyone else and he just said thank you instead of staying mad. Oh Annie, I'm with you on the withdrawal thing. I so love this show! And I look forward to seeing it again in the fall!

I'm with you, if only there really were a real candidate like Robert I wouldn't care what party he was in. It seems like they have these great TV candidates who are exactly what we the people are dying for in real life, someone who actually has convictions and will stick to them even if it means losing votes or turning down a chance for power. When Robert turned down the offer to be VP that was amazing. Imagine that - someone who refused turn into a hypocrite on a dime! It sure does look like William was quite the player and he did seem like such a great husband and father in the beginning. I was so surprised when he was killed off so early because I've always like Tom Skerrit as an actor and I figured he was meant to be one of the main "name" stars. You're right, it was unusual to have Scotty's father be the more supportive parent. That was so touching with the cuff-links. I teared up several times during this show but that's nothing new to me. I love this show so much and it really seems like the characters are real people I've come to know and love. I love when they all get together and they're all talking at once and fighting and spilling each other's secrets. They're like the most loving functionally dysfunctional family on earth. Annie

It is a wonderful show called 'Brothers and Sisters' on ABC. Right now, if you go to www.abc.com, the site has a "starter kit" for the show. It pretty much describes all the characters and major plot lines since the beginning....well, since Rebecca came into the picture, anyway. It's pretty much her explaining the whole family. So...who else is waiting for the end of September??!
