Well perhaps.. This question doesnt suit for me.. I am a working guy who has his office working from morning 9 am till evening 6 pm. So how can you expect me to be sleeping during the day time. Moreover on the weekends, its already afternoon by the time i get up, so the question remains invalid for me. But anyway, sometimes, i really feel too much sleepy after having lunch but being in the office can't afford to. I would go to sleep in the afternoon when i would have nothing to do and when i am fed up of watching TV anymore. While travelling, sleeping is the only activity through which i can kill time. Else it becomes really boring while travelling. I wonder how you manage without it..?

Definitely, I enjoy sleeping in day time very much. I like having siesta for about 30 to 40 minutes after having meal at about 3 pm. I always feel quite refreshed after have a short afternoon nap. There is no problem to have a nap as I still could sleep soundly during nighttime. My husband could sleep very well when riding on a long journey bus but I couldn’t.

There are some days when I feel so tired that I end up falling asleep in the daytime. It doesn't happen very often but when I do feel that low and tired then I do take to my bed for an hour or so.

I work nights and it is very hard to sleep during the daytime hours for me because the sun comes up on the side of the house where my bedroom is located. I have to be very tired or it has to be cloudy out for me to get some good sleep during the day. I would muich rather sleep at night when it is dark though.

hmm.. sleeping at daytime? do i have a choice? i work nightshifts.heheh.. I got used to it though. I've been working nightshifts for two years. This has been my routine eversince I started working. It was pretty tough at first but I got used to it. The toughest time to sleep in daytime is every summer because the weather is really hot. So I changed my bedsheets with those made of 100% cotton so it's gonna be cooler. I go to shower before sleeping and sometimes, I sleep with my tops off. hahahaha.. you'll do everything just to sleep at daytime if you work nightshifts like me. :)

I live in a country where most us us work during the day and it is not our custom to close everything down to have a siesta. I myself, now I am retired, do not take afternoon naps.

I have read somewhere that taking a nap every now and then is good to our health. It help us to be alert. Though for me, instead of taking a nap during the lunch break when I'm in work I just surf the Internet particularly going to mylot site. But I do take a nap during weekends particularly after taking a lunch in the afternoon.

I used to hate sleeping during the day. I always felt like I was missing something. Now I quite enjoy it. Must be getting old. LOL.

my bedroom - my comfortable bedroom, my bed and pillows
I like to take a nap during the daytime, if I can. I work during the day so sometime I don;t get to lay down, but on the days I am home early I will lay down and take a fifteen minute to half an hour, cat nap. I don't have trouble going to sleep at night time even though I took a nap. I never seem to get enough sleep, always too busy. Here is a picture of my bedroom and I love it and spend a lot of time in it. It is so relaxing.

Oops, when I tried to post the first discussion I typed up. it wouldn't go so I retyped another response and posted it and it shows now the first and second one. Oh well, I can't do anything about it now. Sorry about that.

This is something I do not normally do. I normally have too much to do to lay down and nap. Somedays it would be nice, but I just don't have the time. Plus like you said it would affect my ability to sleep that night.

I am way too busy to sleep during the daytime. I've started taking my computer to a local cafe, and working here all day, instead of at home. I hae disconnected the internet at home because it is cheaper. Because the cae sloses and opens at certain times, and bcause I am here all day, I don't have the time to sleep during the daytime hours. This nsures that I get a really good sleep at night.

I don't like to sleep during the day but I work nite times so I have to sleep during the day when I have to work at nite. I don't sleep during the day when I don't have to work though. Hopefully real soon can have a day job so don't have to do that no more. Hate working nite shift.

I sleep late, so I do sleep in the daytime. I do not go to bed and sleep later in the day though - if I am up for the day I am up for the day. If I were to sleep after lunch it would not affect the amount of sleep I get the next night much. It is just how I am. Sleeping during the day makes me more tired. It makes me feel like I have the flu. I do not like it

sleeping beauty - having enough sleep makes you feel good and energetic.it is my habit to take a nap after lunch
Yes,I like it. I take a nap after lunch almost every working day. A nap enables me to work better in the afternoon and evening. Otherwise, I would feel very tired and sleepy. I have already made it a habit to take a day nap. Thank you, naseefu.

Hi naseefu, I prefer to sleep at night. I once had a job where I worked at night and slept during the day, but it wasn't right for me. Now that I'm retired, I will sometimes lie down during the day, but rarely do I sleep. Blessings.
