Going Green?!?!

Recently I have noticed that there has been a lot of commercials and such talking about the environment. It seems like all of a sudden there is a huge interest in being environmentally conscious. Are you joining in on the efforts or continuing about your normal routine?

i have been green probably before most of the rest of the world was going green..a lady by the name of Rachel Carson back in the 1950's realized what harm the world was being caused by the people's reckless ways. perhaps it is all too little too late?

You are probably right. Unfortunately nobody has cared until recently. That was my whole point behind this discussion. It seems like now it is all over tv and such and before everyone took it as a complete joke. I wonder if it is too late or if enough people change in enough ways if things can be changed.

I have always tried to avoid using chemical products if I can. I am sensitive to many chemicals and fragrances anyway. I try natural methods of controlling insects and such before resorting to chemicals. I also recycle paper and plastic, but I'm not obsessive about it. I seldom buy anything new except jeans and shoes because it's hard to find good used ones in my size. I love a bargain, anyway, I'm too cheap to pay ridiculously high prices for new stuff!

I am the same way. I try to do a few things here and there but am not obsessive when it comes to the environment. The one major change I could probably make is taking less and shorter showers.

Well, i've been ecologically conscious forever, so i'll continue on with my "green" routine. I have also noticed the "go green" campaigns on TV and it makes my soul happy! Now everyone is really starting to think about it. Having it on TV just furthers the exposure of the campiagn!

I've been turning off lites when I don't need them. I don't fill up the tub as much as I did before. I don't buy bottle water anymore. I read on the internet that if you turn off your computer and unplug it when not in use you save lots of money and it helps the earth, so I've been doing that do.
