it really depends on what type of camera you would like to have. and what cameras are available in your place. me, i own myself a sony digital camera. it was pretty nice i bought it for 17,000 pesos. i think its worth the value. the camera can take both photos and videos in a maximum of 7 megapixels. isn't it nice? its good for outdoors and indoors as well. its 3x the zoom also. aside from that it can make multiple shots too, like what the professionals do. i recommend you sony brand cameras for digital.

I'm not 100% sure on the best camera company, but I have heard that the canons and the rebels are some great cameras. I am wanting one of them when I upgrade my camera. I have an HP, and it's a good camera. Just not as good as one of the above mentioned and it's about three or four years old.

Cannon is the best camera for household purposes. It has the best ability to capture all the colors and the clarity is immaculate. I have one cannon power shot and its absolutely awesome.

I use a Nikon. My mom uses Nikon. All of my friends use Nikon. And all of my professional photographer colleagues use Nikon. I've heard that Canon and Nikon are pretty similar as far as quality, it just depends on personal preference. However, I have had photographers online send me messages saying that they shoot with a Canon, but after seeing how sharp and clear my images are they are considering switching to Nikon. :) As far as point and shoot cameras go, I don't think there's really that much difference in quality between all the different brands. However, when you get into DSLRs, that's where you're going to see some brands offer a lot more than other brands.
