I think enough of my friends here know me well by now, to know I'm a die-hard fantasy lover when it comes to books or movies. I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe when it came out in 2005 and have both the theatrical and director's cut versions of the DVD movie. Well on May 16th, the second in the Chronicles of Narnia series, Prince Caspian is coming out to a theatre near you....hehe--are you going to see it? Unfortunately being on a budget I don't think I can have the luxury of seeing it, so will have to wait when it comes out on DVD. Here are links to the official websites and the first link includes a trailer of the movie http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/narnia/ http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/narnia/map/ http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/narnia/email/?1

I have actually never gotten into any of the Chronicles series. I may be a weird one but it always takes me a couple of years after something gets old for me to get into it...haha.

I was that way myself. I did not read Tolkien in Jr. Hi, when all of my friends were doing so. I read him, starting with The Hobbit when I was a young mother. I went from there to C. S. Lewis. Both of them have been around way longer than you realize. BBC even had Narnia.

It's funny I never read either Lord of The Rings or Chronicles of Narnia until my college days...when Lord of the Rings came out in the movies, it inspired me to re-read the books, then of course when the first Narnia came out began re-reading them as well. These are supposedly "kids" books but since my mother was never a reader, she never read stories to me as a kid...looks like I made up for it in my "older" years though...LOL

OOh man Pye I am so with you on this one. I have always love the entire Narnia cronicles ever since I was a kid. I own Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe movie and PS2 game. I will not be able to go to th movies either but darn strait I will be buying it when it comes out on DVD and IF there is a PS2 game to it as well I will be getting that too. I have the book that has ALL 7 cronicles in it and havent really had the chance to get through it because it is an intimidating book but one of these days I am going to glue my but down and read it.

I read all seven books as a kid, so I can't wait to see them all on the big screen. The first one was a great movie. The crew really captured the heart of the story. The second looks like it will be just as good. I, too, can't wait to see it. We are on a tight budget, but have been saving for this just as we would a vacation. So, we'll see it sometime either this weekend or next.

Yup, we're planning to see it on Friday night, when it comes out! :) I don't really remember the books very well from when I was younger, but the first movie was so wonderful, and I suspect this one will be equally charming. So I've been looking forward to it! :)

I am now thinking of reading a Harry Potter novel. I really should. Some very educated friends of mine go off on them. I, somehow, believe they are for children. Not that I mind that, I like a good, simple, interesting story. The Chronicles, I think, would be a pretty good read although I still mentally classify them as childrens' stuff. Then there are the Lord of the Rings set of books - God ! I have a lot to catch up on ! I just know that when I start I won't stop ! Maybe thats why I'm taking so long with this. I will read them though, a good read I cannot deny.

I love reading children's books..LOL. And it's amazing how children's books have changed...I mean when I was a kid I NEVER read children's books that were 800 pages long like some of the Harry Potter books...I mean, even adult books aren't that long!

I have seen clips on television, and they are awesome. It will be really neat, but unless my career path changes it will be a very long time before I see it. I loved the books as well, bought them for my kids, and nephews. I spent one very memorable summer reading them to college age students who would come get their bedtime stories at my house. It was a good summer in that way.

yes my budget is wanting as well...at about $8.00 a movie ticket that's kind of an extravagance for me...waaahhh..unless by some miracle extra money comes my way between now and the 16th. I saw your answer under the first poster's...I still have the VHS of that BBC Chronicles of Narnia...I love it but funny how some years make a different as the special effects in the newer Narnia is out of this world..instead of a "puppet" Aslan with two people in it, the newer has a CG version that is so life like you think it was a real lion

I watched it last night and thought it was quite good. It held up well to the first movie. My husband found a screener copy on the internet for me. I can ask him to send me the link and send it to you if you are interested. It is a little pixelated, but definitely watchable. I may have to watch it again soon. It is a bit long though. How is it cheaper to wait for it to come to DVD? A DVD costs 25 bucks and a movie ticket 10. Unless you have a bunch of kids to trail with you and want popcorn and jujubees. It didn't progress the way I remember from the book, creative license I guess. Still, I can't wait till it comes out on DVD. It will go right next to it's sister movie on my shelf.

I am so sorry! I totally forgot about it. I ran out of envelopes and kept forgetting to get them. I owe you big time! Did you read the books? The Magician's Nephew is the first book and would have made such a great first movie.

True DVDs are more than a movie ticket...but I'm hoping by the time it does come out on DVD I'll have the extra money..I just plain don't have the funds right now for a movie ticket now--ps I mailed you the cat coupons..

I finally saw a commercial for this today and it looks fantastic. I never read the books. I tried but couldn't get into them. I did though enjoy the first Narnia movie and even own a copy on DVD of it. It was great watching. The acting was phenomenal but the effects really made the movie even better. The new one looks like it will be just as fantastic, at least from what the commercials show. Unlike you due to a tight budget I'll have to wait till it comes out on DVD, that and I'm not that comfortable going to movies. Far too often they are too crowded for me and with a long awaited movie they are even more crowded I have found so I'll have to wait . That being said though I think the wait will be worth it.

I agree Aslan was fantastic. They did a great job. Yeah funds are tight here too especially during the summer months when our electric bill triples. Hopefully it won't be as bad this year.

Wasn't Aslan fantastic? And just think that was all computer graphics...wow! Funny, nope crowds don't really bother me (and I'm phobic remember??) but I just don't have the funds to see it now. So will wait until it comes out on DVD

My kids and I really love the Chronicles of Narnia. We're really looking forward to seeing it. I've seen the pictures and it's really wonderful. Lucy with her long hair now and Edmund all grown up already.

Hi pyewacket! I do love the "Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" too. In fact, I have been watching it over and over again in my dvd and sometimes on cable too. Hubby says, I am like a child who never gets enough with watching the movie. haha.. I am going to watch the sequel and I am also going to wait for it to be released in DVD so I can watch it over and over again too. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

Hi pyewacket! haha..I watched it again too and hubby is just shaking his head when I did. haha..And I told him to get me a copy of the sequel. He said, "Oh no, not another one!" haha.. Anyway, he is just teasing me because he completely understood my love for those kind of movies as he also have his complete Star Wars dvd too and he watched them when I am asleep. haha..He tinks I don't know that he is watching them over and over again and always mimicked Darth Vader and Yoda. haha..

I absolutely lived the first movie. I watched it more than once! If money allows I hope to drag the old man to see the second movie. Hopefully it will be playing at our local drive-in theatre so we can bring our grandkids. Even if they don't go with us, I want to see it!

No I didnt see this movie yet even though I really want to. I loved the first one and its probally my favorite fantasy movie in the past few years. It seems like all of these fantasy movies are trying to copy narnia. But I do want to see the second one I heard it was great from a few people who saw it. Ive been waiting for a few years so hopefully ill see it soon maybe this week.

Well unless I can make some extra green stuff and soon I might have to just wait until the DVD comes out....sniffle,..sniffle. I'm multi-tasking as it is writing extra articles..writing articles, checking emails, MyLotting, going here, going there and driving myself dingy..LOL...I lost a lot of time yesterday since I had that bout of carpal tunnel and couldn't type well, now I'm better so trying to make up for lost time Oh yup though...I'm a real die-hard fantasy nutcase...I'd love to see the new Indiana movie too...think Harrison Ford can still cut it though? He's not exactly as young as he was in the earlier movies--believe it or not I still have an authentic Stetson Indiana Jones hat...hehe
