How much trust do you have in yourself?

I really have a hard time with self-confidence. It comes from a long time of being mistreated and put down though. I wish I could just forget about how others think of me and move on but it is not that easy to do, especially when I am still dealing with the same issue in my adult years. I know that I am a worthy person though and I make alot of good choices in my life though. I try my best and work hard at everything that I do.

I'm one of those stubborn people who never ask advice.. indeed, advice usually makes me a little uneasy! I do however often take a back seat when it comes to decisions about purchases or even how to do things around our house.. Even if a purchase will be more than what I wanted to spend.. and then I may feel I've made a wrong decision! But I figure the less control I have over things, the less struggle.. the path of least resistance, that's usually my motto.. It's a lot more restful I've found over my years, to not have to be in control.. (of most things that is).

It depends on what I have to make a decision on. If its general then I have no problem making a decision but if it's complicated and I don't know much about it, then I might need some ideas from others to help me make up my mind. I do trust myself to make the right decisions, but sometimes I may need help from others.

I usually trust my own instincts to get me through hatever needs to b don. That doesn't mean to say I don't need or trust other people. I have been married for 34 years and my wife's opinions and feelings on things I would follow immediately. We both have a lot of life experience and that is useful to draw on when making choices.

I do have trust in myself.I will just ask the help and advise of somebody depending on the decision I make.But most of the time I'm thinking over on my decision which I myself decide without asking somebody.Thinking both sides,wether it's right or wrong is a matter of believing in yourself and knowing what is good for you.

I have a tremendous amount of confidence in myself when it comes to making decisions and I'm not the type to go to others for help with that sort of thing or advice etc etc..In fact I avoid doign that at all costs when it comes to big decisions I need to make because i find that the opinions of others tends to hinder me...

Hi dolce_vita! I have always believed in myself and have trusted in my own decisions and choices. However, I just can't follow on my own judgement since there always people around me who is trying to contradict my decisions and just to have some peace, I do give in. However, I am just buying some time because I am planning everything so I can do what I have to do. In time and I know God will make a way for me soon. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

I trust myself, I believe on myself, if ever my decisions goes wrong, I usually made the changes for the right thing. I also have this intuition on something I am doing if is right or it is wrong. Something in my head is telling me dont do that or do this, and most often it is true.

i believe myself most, since i am a child i learned to decide my own, i live independently with my parents. i decide my own with no influence from other individual. i don't want anybody will dictate me to what i've done even my parents. So far, almost all my decision was on the right path.

Yes i do ask others opinion about things in my life that im struggling to come up with a decision. at times i really don't trust myself cause i have the tendencies to be impulsive in deciding. most of the time i ask my parents about my decisions if they will give me their blessings! other times too, i ask my friends who are older and i think mature to give me advice. but most of the time i follow my own decision or make my own plans and decisions. i want to be responsible and independent with regards to deciding about my life.

Very interesting question. I do struglle with trust in myself sometimes. But I am not a person who also take advice from people without thinking it througly. usually if I had some hard decision or problem, I take a little time to think it through. So far so good.

i have quite enough of self confidence at work, with my friends and meeting new people. The question is how to maintain self confidence amidst self doubt or work issues. I make sure to keep my informations updated, have a lot of researches done.

At this age and time :) i usually do my own decision makings. its a person to person thing. it actually depends on what kind of situation i am in at the moment. if i'm in a complicated issue, i ask for inputs from those i know have more wisdom on the matter. But bottomline,the last say always comes from me. I give the last hoorah to anything that is happenning in my life..Anyway we put it, 2nd from God, YOU are always the designer of your own destiny.

Hi dolcevita. No I never felt this. When I need to do a choice I'm thinking about and do this. I never ask to help in this kind of thing because our life only we can solve. cheers
