Why do women team up to use the bathroom?

Maybe it is a local thing or it may be a female thing but have you ever noticed when you are out with a group and a woman has to pee. Nine times out of ten she will take another woman with her. I know because I do it myself. I don't know why I do it. I know how to use a bathroom. Sometimes I want to talk about someone we are with I guess. Men seem to be able to leave and go to the bathroom all on their own. What is it with us women that make us travel in pairs to the washroom?

Pretty much I feel that I'm the worst thing anyone is going to run into tho, I'm not afraid of trying to hurt anyone that tries to hurt me, and I'd try to hurt them really bad. And, I'm not afraid of getting the police on them either.
I lived in a bad neighborhood for about 4 years and the neighbors went from calling me that little white girl on the corner to that bad white girl on the corner.

Hi whywiki.....It's a herding thing just like Wildebeasts , elephants , or even Cows. Safety in Numbers my friend , safety in Numbers.
That way if One of us Chicks Falls in someone can either lower a rope , or call 911 , if they haven't lost their phone in the can .
Always remember.....wear your Seatbelt , and safety Helmet!

In the Car??????
my Friend....I was referring to the toilet! Do you Know how many lives could be saved each year By wearing the proper attire into the Can?????
I get strange looks too when I wear my Motorcycle -Helmet into the Toilet.
I've noticed though not all facilties offer seatbelts on their toilets!
I firmly believe that this should be Ammended!
You should always strap in before Liftoff!
I would not want to found .....not wearing my safety Devices!

..come to think of it, it is rather goofy isn't it? Maybe it's more fun that way.. course these days if a lady's in a strange or really big place, it might not be a bad idea!

i think they feel little unsecured ... as they thought somebody peep them .. so they take one gaurd with them ...it just a thought

LOL. I thought the women in other countries didn't have this habit until I read your discussion. LOL. well, I don't really know but I also do it and I don't know why I do it.
perhaps because I feel more comfortable to go to bathroom with other women.
first, probably I would be sure that nobody would leave me if I haven't finished using the bathroom yet (okay, considering the lines of people when the toilet was crowded) 
. second, I know whom to trust my purse / bag when there was no place to hang them.
third, ladies talk a lot! LOL. sometimes when we want to make sure that no guys would overhear our female thing conversation, we would talk it in the toilet / bathroom! LOL.

I agree WhyWiki, its the gossip factor, we want to talk, LMAO and their is no place better than a ladies rest room to get in a few giggles and tid bits :))) I really do not know why, I do it as well.

For me it's usually because I don't know where the bathroom is and I need my girlfriend to show me where it is or just to come with me to find it. I don't like walking around a room not knowing where it is, and being looked at by the guys. It just makes me uncomfortable. But if I know where the washroom is, I will go alone. Then I just don't look around me to see who is looking at me. I am a little self conscience and don't have very much confidence in myself. I know I need to work on that now. I am finally losing some of that extra weight I have carried around for the last 5 years and looking good and feeling good so I now need to work on my self esteem. Then I can go to the bathroom by myself, even when I don't know where it is.
