He's home, he's home!

I know there weren't many..actually I think 3 or 4 who responded to the discussion regarding my dad being in the hospital. But I'm excited and wanted to share with yous! Last week my dad was admitted to the hospital because he was very very ill. Turned out he's a diabetic and very close to death. His sugar was 60. It should be between 4 and 8. He's on insulin now, and he's home:):) I don't live with my dad and we've never been close but to think I may have lost my chance to be in a father-daughter relationship with him. It's scary. I'm glad he's given another chance.

I didn't know your dad was sick in the hospital...Maybe this is your chance to have that relationship with him you have always wanted...Take advantage of this new chance...Good luck...I am happy for you and your dad..

Thank you! I plan on it. He's always tried to be a father but with him not living with my mom and I it's hard 'cause I never see him. I plan on visiting more often and spending time with him.

I am glad to hear that your dad is home and doing better. I am sure it was scary for you thinking that you might lose him. Now you have another chance to be close.

Congratulations on having your dad home! We had a similar situation this past fall with my grandmother getting hospitalized because of diabetes problems also. It gave us quite a scare, so I know how upsetting such a situation can be! I'm so glad to hear that your dad is doing much better now! :)
