May 15, 2008 8:16am CST
The British up market, tabloid newspaper with conservative values; The Daily Mail, (www.dailymail.co.uk) said in its Saturday edition (5/08/'08)that computer games and their counterparts are inhibiting the imagination of children, preventing them from thinking for themselves, and thereby stumping their creativity. No, I don't think that computer games are bad for children because there are some games from which they could know about the real world.

I think that computer games are part of a child's life in the 21st Centuty. But, it is better to discuss the issues raised in computer games with children and see what moral values emerge. In other words computer games can be an educational tool, and should not therefore be ignored.

For very young children computers can make them mistake reality with games, doing so, will create damaging habits. However, a teen who uses the computer often can help himself be more focused, creative and rational. Games are fun to play, but nowadays, also need a lot of concentration and coordination so playing games builds better reaction time, reflexes, coordination and concentration. There aren't only shooters and action games you know, there are also puzzle games, strategy games and other types that actually work with your brain. Children exposed to this at a decent age can use their brain better, because they exercise it every day..

I'm surprised to learn that PC game can affect. Is that so ?? I'll stop playing games from now. hehe.. Just joking.. Truly, I can't do it 'cos PC games has become a part of my life. I've been playing since long. I started with TV-video games. Whenever I played those games thinking that how they had developed it. Now, total picture has been changed. I've got a better platform playing games - computer. Now, I've the answer of those questions of my childhood regarding games. I want to join the game industry as a game developer. Don't mind.. Do you ever think of it how many people work hard to develop a game ? Games can't be made without imagination and creativity. Innovative ideas make a game popular. There are lots of way to income with games. A gamer can earn either as a game tester in game industry or by joining a clan. Game industry needs good programmers and 2d, 3d artists. Besides, PC games increase reflexes as well as inttelligence. Specially, multiplayer games where player has to compete with another player, I think. It's up to the parents how they guide their children. Only parents can turn the addiction of their children into earning option.

I've started playing games when I was 3 years old. Nonetheless, games didn't have any bad effects on me. All my friend, who started playing games, when they were young, are fine too. So, I believe, computer games are by no means bad for children.
