Church Of The Jedi Attacked By Darth Vader

A man posing as Darth Vader attacked a Star Wars fan who had founded a Jedi Church. He admitted assaulting Barney Jones and cousin Michael with a metal crutch. He was drunk and dressed in a black bin bag, and shouted "Darth Vader!" They suffered minor injuries. When the man didn't arrive at his court date, the Judge issued an arrest warrant, saying "I hope the force will soon be with him." The guy showed up though and court proceeded. It was revealed he had jumped over a garden wall wearing the bin bag, before the attack. - Barney Jones had recently started the Jedi Church "in honor of the good knights from Star Wars". It has about 30 members locally and "thousands worldwide," he says. - The cousins had been filming themselves playing with light sabers in the garden before the attack. The court was told the attacker has a "chronic alcohol problem" and had drunk the best part of a 10-liter box of wine. (Wow) He was wearing the black bin bag and a cape and had a metal crutch in his hand, and hit Barney Jones over the head with the crutch, leaving him with a headache (ouch!) before laughing and hitting Michael Jones in the thigh, causing bruising. Both men were upset by the incident and believe it was pre-planned. They believe "very strongly in the church and their religion". The attacker however, could not remember the incident and only realized what had happened when he read about it in local newspapers! His lawyer said, alcohol was "ruining his life" and that the attacker had no idea where he got the crutch from. He has however had previous convictions, including assault and disorderly conduct. I thought you might find this interesting. What do you think of such a thing? Pretty crazy, aye? [May the force be with you.]

Now, I cannot believe that I have read about this at all. Thank you, Flowerchilde, for discussing this. Now, why the heck this incident gotta happen. I don't know. Why do you think this gotta happen? Why do you think a guy dressed as Darth Vader gotta to attack Star Wars fan. I think maybe that attacker believes in the Dark Side and evil stuff. I think that Darth Vader fan deserves punishment and judgment. So I see that Barney Jones had recently started a Jedi Council Church. Is it really necessary at all, though. Was it really needed? Yeah, Star Wars and the Force from Sci Fi as to real life when we have our Heavenly Father, God and HIS Spirit for our hearts. So in real life, I would say that "May the Holy Spirit and peace from God be with all of us." To me, I am a Catholic. I strongly believe in the Roman Catholic faith. I do believe in God a lot. Through my heart in the power of Lord Jesus in the Spirit.

Wow never realized that there is a church based on a Star Wars Movie. That is really weird that people are so obsessed with the story that is not at all based on true story but just a fictional story. This guy is really so in love with the story that he made a reliogion out of it. I don't think that there will come a day that Harry Potter would soon have its own kind of cult or something someday.

I was watching Mike & Mike in the Morning on ESPN2. It's a radio show that is also televised. They read this article in their segment of 'New of the Weird.' They couldn't stop laughing! If I were any of these people I'd be begging people not to put the story in the newspaper!
