Have you ever posted a topic and you get rude remarks?

Yes, I have. It hurts, but I try to ignore it.

I have had this happen just once or twice...It did bother me to a point but everyone is welcomed to share their thoughts on my post...I just thanked this person for the thoughts and went on my way...Every person thinks and acts different...

That really depends on my mood, If I'm in a fighting mood then I might give that person a dose of their own medicine. But I always do my best not to, I always put in mind that I don't have to stoop down at their levels. I give comments with sarcasm sometimes, that I always give them what I know is right..

Yes, quite a few. I will argue, but do so in a mature manner, if you know what I mean... I try not to get too rude, but it may sound like I am. The way that I see it, if you have got nothing good to say, don't say it at all.... That way, no one has to get rude....

How did I feel about rude remarks to one of my posts? The exact same way I would feel about a rude remark in person. Hurt. But the best thing to do if you can't nicely turn it around on the rude person is just ignore it. People have the right to express their opinion on an open forum like mylot, and unfortunately that brings out the worst in some people, but for the most part mylotters are friendly and courteous. I just try to be friendly, helpful and courteous to others even when I don't get that respect from everyone.

Yes, I had one and it was one of my first posts when I just started here on myLot. There were no rude words but the way it was said sounded like a hiss. Well, maybe the way I presented my view was wrong in the first place but it was my opinion and I felt that way.

not yet and I hope not ever! LOL! but, I am open to that since we don't know really how people will react and we don't have any control of their opinions. If ever I will encounter such situation,I will just respect his'her opinion and drop by a short thank you message and will not argue or whatever, i want to cut the conversation as soon as possible! I am here to enjoy, learn and earn and that thing will just ruin my mood! LOL!

Yes, a couple of times I did received rude remarks. I just let it be because I believe that everybody is entitled to their own opinion. You really cannot please everybody even though how careful you may be in your post.

Every one has the right to say what one wishes to. But, ofcourse, I think one needs to have mutual respect when we are participating in a community like mylot !

yes i have but i clarify my points of view to the owner of the comments that he misinterpret my topic. he argued with me but i discontinue my clarification to him. sometimes we need to be careful to post our topic maybe some would misinterpret it.

I tend not to be argumentative with anyone, everyone is welcome to their opinion. I am more likely to say something like, sorry you feel that way. I haven't ran across this yet, but I am sure that I will sooner or later.

there was one time when the whole forum people ganged up on me and i was shocked that they had reacted that way. turned out that it was a private thread (they didn't put the warning signs on). anyway, it was a bad experience ans i thought that was just unfair since everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
