It depends on what food I'm eating and if I'm comfortable eating it that way. It doesn't matter where I eat, I just eat.

erh, for me. Outside would always mean no using of hands. It looks pretty rude in front of your friends especially. At home, I would normally use my hands together with chopsticks, spoon, fork. Whatever I can find. haha.

at home, we use spoon and fork, but sometimes when there are foods like chicken barbecue (because I am filipino and an ilonggo at that), we use our hands with gusto! :-) outside in chinese restos and japanese restos, we use chopsticks. i love using chopsticks! and it makes me full easily. lol good day dear!

I prefer to eat certain foods, like french fries or sliced raw vegetables with my hands. However, when I'm out in public I of course use a fork, except with french fries. I can't use chopsticks at all, because of my disability. I tried when I was in japan, however, after 6 hours of not eating even one mouthful, I gave up and went back to being a stupid American. But at least I had a reason.

I never really payed attention to this, I guess i like all ways of eating the same. xD I'm 1/2 japanese so I've used chopsticks all my life, and I like using them the same, too.

Rice being our staple food we enjoy taking it with hands only. With hands we can easily mix curry to rice and push it in to the mouth. We use spoons to eat deserts. Rarely we use forks. Well we use forks when eating water melon pieces and of course some non-vegetarian dishes. No chop sticks so far.

A spoon for eating grits, soup, mashed potatoes, pudding, yogurt, ice cream.... A fork for eating other things like chicken... I think that I can use chopsticks. I never use them though...
