Do you hate missing movie previews at the theater? Or do you just want to see the movie. I have to see the previews so I can comment on them. If I miss them I feel like I've missed something important. This discussion is Rated R for Respond.

I love atching the movie preview, they give me something to look forward to. I actually went to see Iron Man at an early showing the other day and saw some great previews of future films that I am dieing to see! I just love going to the movies? How much does it cost to go to the movies in your neck of the woods? I went to a show about 1pm and it cost $5.50. Popcorn supreme set up is about 12. Wow! How can they charge that much for popcorn? A: because they can!

$500,000? That must be for each 'chain' of theatres. I can't imagine some of these small town theatre forking out that kinda change expecting people to come and make up for it all. I know there was this one theatre that ran the equivancy of things that were already on video. They charged nothing at the door but sold concesssion. It was cool to walk over the, watch a movie (or a couple of them) and not spend a dime. I have no idea what happened to the place. But rumor has it they were forced to shut down because they were showing videos in a public arena and not a private one.

Kingcrapper, I'll give you the low down on why movies and popcorn cost so much. Movie theaters buy said movie for sometimes $500,000 dollars, no kidding. So they have to charge for that movie in order to make a profit. Sounds crazy? It is. Dollar theaters buy those movies for 1/10 the cost and make their money on concessions. Now you know, tell your friends.

Yeah.. MOvie previews is very important to me so that i can decide whether to catch the whole movie.. But that's not the overall deciding factor as sometimes that preview may be the only exciting part in the whole movie.. THus, getting ple's comments and opinions is equally important for me too..

I love sitting in the movie theater and after a really cruddy preview comes on I'll say, "Do not go see that movie!" Ha, I'm so bad.

I like seeing the previews. As others have already said, there could be something intersting that you might want to see. There have also been times when I've heard about a movie that was being made and the preview will be the first to provide more information about it, such as the date when it's supposed to hit theatres. And I will admit that I watch them at home as well. I know I can skip past them on the DVD but sometimes you just never know what you'll see.

I always write down the name of the movie I want to see when I watch previews at home, if I don't and wait till after the movie I'll forget.

Yes, I do! I feel like I had missed part of the movie itself! I always make sure I'm at least fifteen minutes early. I don't mind waiting in the theater since I usually have something to snack on. I like knowing what will be coming out soon that I may not have heard about.

I know, if I miss the previews the next time I hear about the movie is when it hits the stores on DVD.

In the movie theater, I'm there for the previews, then the movie. At home, I can live without them.
