What was your most fascinating train ride ?

I had travelled to many parts of the world, by plain to the countries abroad, and bus and train rides in some of the countries. The most exciting and fascinating train ride I took was in Japan, the famous "Bullet Train", called
Shinkansen in Japanese. It was from Tokyo to Osaka. Oh, so marvellous. The train goes at 300 km/hr. Tha was like flying on a train !! The service on the train was excellent too ! Take this ride when you go to Japan !

I once went across county on Amtrak. I also went up the California coast on the same trip. it was really pretty intersting and fun. I took my son with me he had just turned eight. He still remembers parts of the trip.

Yes, Amtrak rail routes are very beautiful ! I have not taken it on long trips. Just on short trips, but they were very enjoyable.

Train is my favorite form of transport and I have traveled on them in many different parts of the world. My most fascinating train journey was from Mombasa to Nairobi in Kenya. We had a two bedded cabin that was first class so it was really comfortable. The lights were not working so other passengers moved to a different carriage. We both had a torch so we didn't worry. The lack of strong light gave a nice atmosphere and it was quite exciting. I went to sleep, hearing the relaxing sound of the train moving along the track. In the morning we went to the buffet carriage for breakfast and we saw a giraffe. Wow!

Oh ! That sounds like a very exciting ride too. I have never been to Kenya so far. I'd like to. I should plan to go there on my next holiday trip.
