Do you eat food, even when it's hot enough to burn your mouth?

Tonight I was so hungry that I didn't even wait to let my food cool off before I began to eat. The food was sufficiently hot enough to burn my mouth with every bite. But, like I said, I was hungry. So, I didn't wait. Most times, I try to let the food cool off first, before having dinner. That's assuming that I can even get a hot meal. Most times, as a mom, everyone else's needs are met long before mine. So, that means, very little time for food. Tonight my spouse was off of work, so I got a chance to sit down to a real meal. (Well sort of, it was a TV dinner from Boston Market). I guess this was a rare treat to have super hot food. So, I enjoyed it. Burnt tongue and all. So, how about you? Do you eat food when it's hot enough to burn your mouth? Or, do you wait?

I do this all the time! I am way too impatient and I hate waiting to eat my food. I especially do this with soups and stews... they smell and look so good I just want to dig in! I don't know if it's worth the pain or not, but I always enjoy my food

When I have Ramen in a cup that's what I do as well. Sometimes I wonder why I can't just stop and let the food cool down. And, of course, the answer is, that if I wait, I won't get a chance to eat. Thanks for dropping by.

I did a few time when I was really hungry or very hurry to finish my food, but more times I just wait it cold down because it is not nice to have a burnt tongue or even brunt lips, but sometimes I have been fooled for the food and believe that it was cold when actually it was really hot, It have happened with a chicken soup because it looks like it was cold but, I don't know why, anyway when the food is cold I rather prefer to eat it like that instead to heat it, I mean when I have leftovers and they are over the stove and they are already cold, I just eat them cold. I know more people don't like potatoes or rice or meat cold but I don't mind.

I rarely do this, because I have to wait until the food is cool enough for my toddler before I put it on the table. A lot of times his plate goes in the fridge while I'm fixing my plate (and my husband's if he is home). Then I wait another minute or two, pull Elliott's plate out and get them all on the table. By the time I get drinks out, and get to sit down, it's usually cool enough to eat. Usually it's still pretty warm, but it doesn't burn me.

Sometimes i also burn my tongue when eating something hot. In the morning before I go to take a bath I must take something hot. So we have this coffee that we prepared always, not the instant one. And because in a hurry sometimes we drink it at oncweand yes, my tongue burnt. Feeling no good after that but after a while feeling is good. I am always saying this will not happen but again and again it happens.

Yeah I am like wooly I am to impatient to wait and I just try to it eat, ive put ice in my soup before, to tell you the truth. Your right when your hungry it sort of does not matter. Ill wait sometimes but not all the times, remind me of when I went to a mexican restuaraunt it was hot and spicy this person had tears and sweat running but did htey stop nope! They just thought it was good food, heck we're people and we just wanna eat right?

I try to wait but I definitely know the feeling of being so hungry that you'll just stick anything into your mouth. I hate burning my toungue though so after getting the food in my mouth, I won't do it again until the food has cooled off. I also try not to do this because then I don't actually taste the food since I'm so concerned about the amount of heat in my mouth! I end up eating more this way.

I have had that happen when i was in a rush to eat. Had to slow down and blow before trying another bite. I think this has happened to everyone when it comes to food and it's something that you have a taste for.
