I guess we entered a stage in history where fear is fear even as we sit inside our homes we could loose our lives in a minute. When USA hits a recession most countries follows especially Third World countries like the Philippines. So we are also affected since inflation grows faster than money in the wallet and we are buying things at a premium compare to January of 2008. Terrosism is a major threat since our country is not free from acts of terrosism. In fact just Friday and yesterday bank robbers massacers their bank victim leaving everyone in the bank dead, good thing there were only one client at that time, what if its an hour later, where there would be more clients and people in the bank. Just few weeks ago Mynmar and a state in USA was devasted by tornadoes and cyclone. China was badly shaken by a big earthquake and yesterday a town and cities was hit by a typhoon in our country. Its hard not to get affected by bad news. But its the news we see, hear and read everyday.

You know what's scary? The fact that I heard about that Typhoon in the Phillipines but it was on the news only once. I listen to the radio while I use my computer so I get the news each half hour. Weeks and weeks of stuff about the tragedies in Birma and China and just a small mention of the Fillipines. I guess some tragedies are more important than others to the newsroom editors.
