This morning when I had been for a walk, I noticed that my friend wasn't there and waited for him because I loved to see him everyday during my walk. We actually enjoyed each other's company. He is PIG and I loved his nose so I had named him 'NOSY'. I'm very upset today. I think somebody has cut him for food and have sold his meat pieces :-((( I too eat non-veg and felt really bad today that I do. I love animals - all kinds. Does it matter to the world if people eat non-veg so much and animals are decreasing day-by-day?? Please mentions your thoughts.

I don't think animals are decreasing day by day because most meat we buy and we eat are being cultured, or raised in farms for the sole purpose of being sold and eaten. I know it's sad thinking about this, but that's how life really is. We're all part of the food chain. But I disagree on domestic animals being eaten, that is just not right. Because domestic animals are already part of the family and should be treated better than just an animal.

That's a good thought. I remember the song "In the circle of life" - in Lion King that talks about the food chain. Ok, this makes me feel a little at ease. You know, I'm really upset and would be extremely happy if I see my friend pig tomorrow when I go for a walk. Please pray for him :-( In my country domestic animals are those which is inside a house and is taken care of. There are many animals just left on streets in India and I loved to see my PIG joining me for a walk everyday at the same time!!!! I just loved to see that way he spoke to me with his nose!

Whaaa.... What makes one animal "just an animal" and another more important? What is the difference between a pet and an animal used for food - do they not have the same feelings, thoughts, needs, instincts, and ability to feel pain?? Why do some animals deserve to be mistreated and killed while others deserve to live out a full, happy, healthy life? What a sad way to look at things. "Just an animal" That breaks my heart.

Yes, I agree with you. I feel really hurt that we kill animals. But at the same time, Man is designed to have more emotions than any other living thing in this world. Therefore, all though we are in the food chain, we feel sad for animals. I'm sure there is enough vegetable and fruits supply for us to eat. And, I'm sure we can continue growing them!
