Comcast Cable

I was wondering if any of you have been forced to make Comcast your cable provider because they have bought out Insight. This has happened in our town and I am not liking it at all. We lose our cable, internet and phone at least 2 times a week. Last week, I lost a whole days pay waiting for a technician to come out and fix it, because they tell you they will be out between 8 and 8, and if you arent there, they wont come back. I was wondering if anyone knew what we can do about getting this taken care of. HELP!HELP!HELP!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

We have Comcast because due to some kind of agreement with TimeWarner which used to be the cable provider they switched. I have internet and phone with AT&T. I get annoyed with the cable cause sometimes a station will freeze. That is annoying when it is a program I am watching. And I hate to have to pay $4.95 for the channel guide which half the time is wrong. We don't have digital, we just have about 80 channels. They charge a lot for digital. I just wonder how much they will charge when everything has to go digital next year. I have occasionally thought about going to one of the dish companies but I dont know if they are any better.

I hear of mixed results with the dish companies too. We have Dish Network and haven't had any problems except when a bush grew in front of the dish and needed to be trimmed. Some people complain about problems during rain, but we haven't experienced that. (We have the larger style dish because we subscribe to an international line up. Perhaps that helps, I don't know.)

If you are not satisfy wiht a product all you need to do is change your provider. When a company buy another, there is no reason to stay with them. It is your decision to stay wiht them or look for another alternative.

I have never even heard of Insight but I had Adelphia, I am guessing Comcast bought them out two because ours switched to Comcast. Not long after we switched to verizon because Comcast was way to expensive. So now we have verizon. We have Directtv and verizon through phone and internet. I don't really understand the whole directtv and verizon television unless they joined together because we called verizon and got everything through them. I don't remember how much we pay but it is way cheaper than comcast. We got a deal for all 3 I think it was somewhere around $100 but we pay over that because we have 4 televisions but it's not that much over. It was well worth it to switch to verizon than staying with Comcast. Do you have any satellite services where you live? If it gets bad enough I would change to satellite. Directtv is pretty good I think. We have only had them go out twice on us when it was storming and not for that long either. I think one time it was only like 5 minutes.

I am a Comcast customer and I never heard of insight. The company befor Comcast was Adelphia and Comcast bought them out. I have had no problems w/ Comcast service as of yet and I have the triple play package which is the cable, phone, and internet all in one package. Have you spoken to Comcast about this problem and what did they tell you? I know yesterday they were haveing techincal difficutilies and were trying to fix the problem and they weren't sure how long it would be. A couple of hours later all was fixed and back to normal. I do hope you have your problem fixed and soon for it can be very frustrateing I'm sure. Good luck w/ this situation and take care.
