Does your cat kick you as she jumps off your lap?

Not sure why, but my middle cat, EB, has picked up the nasty habit of kicking me as she jumps off my lap. She loves to sit on my lap, so this has become a daily event. I know that she is doing it on purpose. I've moved around and disturbed her, so princess is showing her discontent. It's cat vengance. My big cat would never do that. Our kitten would just bite and jump down if she was feeling playful. Weird how cats have their own way of showing displeasure. Does your cat ever act mean to you or scratch you as he or she jumps off your lap?

unfortunately my cat isn't a lap cat, I love lap cats but I think my cat would do more than kick me if she was on my lap, you are very lucky to have a cat that loves you so much that she wants to be close to you.

My "baby" does love her mommy. And I should treasure her. She's almost ten. Cats don't live forever. I'm going to miss her. Now, I'm all sad.

My Mimi does that all of the time. She'll jump on my lap, purr for a few seconds. Then her purrs turn to growls and if I try to pet her, she jumps off, kicking AND scratching me as she leaves.

My younger cat does this thing where he just kind of flops around to get comfortable. If he decides he wants to lay on your lap he will walk onto it and just fall over. It's pretty cute. Anyway, he's pretty clumsy and uncoordinated so he will just be laying there and then start rolling around trying to get comfy and next thing he knows he is falling off the lap and in order to hold on he just digs right into your legs... I can't say I have the problem of being kicked by either of my cats, though. When my older one gets annoyed with something you're doing she will bite you or wait for you to walk by and smack at your legs. Cats are strange, beautiful creatures.
