season finale- what's in store for next?

i know that i missed out on something on the episode before the finale. who was the woman that shot booth? and why was she aiming for bones? i was totally surprised at the beginning of the episode that they were at booth's funeral! i was thinking to myself, "could the show go on if they killed off on of their main characters?" luckily, it was a rouse. but who were they trying to set up? who was that guy that got rushed at the funeral?
and zack?!?!?! OMG!!! i never would have imagined that he was the apprentice to gormagon! i honestly thought that it would've been jack just because he's so obsessed with those sorts of things. who do you think they're going to bring in to replace him? do you think that it will be the young guy that was at the beginning of this season while he was iraq?

In the previous episode there was a woman who was obsessed with the episode's victim and then she moved her stalker attentions to booth. So at the end of the episode she shot at Bones to try and take her out so she could be with booth since he was looking at her lovingly or whatever. lol So then Booth jumped in front of Bones and took a bullet for her.
I'm sleepy so I hope that made sense!

I think most people were surprised it was Zack, and I have to say that was disappointing. I liked him better than Hodges. I read on tvguide online that they will probably bring Zack back for a few episodes. Like Bones and some of the others will visit him in the psych ward to get his opinions on some things. I guess because he's an evil genius? My sister watched this show all the time, but I haven't seen a new episode of Bones in a while. Was Zack sorry for what he did?
