Face painting, Body painting? Henna, etc... Have you had it done? Where? What?

Often times as special events people go to booths and get their faces or other body parts painted with colored paints or with henna. Here, in California, down South a ways from me in the Laguna area, there is the Pagent of the Masters every summer where people are painted and then posed in frames and/or as statues to look like the paintings and statues of the Masters like Michalango and Da Vinci. The actors who are painted are forced to stand or to sit still for a long time while the crowd sits down and looks up at them and oohs and ahs. Have you ever had your face or any other body part painted? What did you have painted and what was painted on it?

I have thought about it, but still have no time in putting a tattoo. I would love to have one, on my back or maybe on my arms. When I was still in high school, a classmate/friend of mine brings an ink. We'd play along with it, make some fake tattoos in our wrists and show it around our other classmates. It was fun, we would make barbed wires and other images..

Washable ink is a bit more fun than the real thing which hurts to put on and pains to remove... I am a whimp... wouldn't do it at all given the experience of a man who had to go through tattoo removal in his 30s.

It is a tradition in our culture to put henna in beautiful designs on our hands and feet on special occasions like marriage, social functions etc. So yes, I have got my hands and feet painted with Henna many number of times till date, for my own marriage, my sister's wedding, cousins's weddings and so on. It stays upto 1 week and than fades gradually. In fact, a bride in our country does not do any household work till her henna fades, it is a custom.
