I noticed this morning someone posted a referral link on my discussion. I responded to this person and said that please don't put referral links on my discussion as the whole discussion will get deleted and everyone will lose their earnings. Now when I looked back this afternoon, his response was gone but not the whole discussion, that is awesome. I did not like it how others were effected from other people posting their referral link. I had to check over the discussion 3 times to make sure I wasn't imagining things, but his response is definately gone. So has anyone else noticed this happen in their discussions where just there response was deleted and not your whole discussion?

I guess myot has changed the rules, that's great.I noticed that about a couple of weeks ago.Someone post an inappropriate response to my discussion ,then I found that his response got deleted the next day,now the whole discussion. And I was not alone. He post the same response to another person's discussion, and it was just his response got deleted ,not the whole discussion.

Cool thanks for letting me know gxnfly. Seems like mylot if tightening their belt and knuckling down on people who break the rules. Atleast other mylot people don't lose their posts now too.

yeah, i just read someone else mentioning the same thing. i guess it's something new MyLot is doing. instead of deleting the whole discussion, they're just deleting the response with the referral link. i think it's GREAT!!!

Awesome, I wasn't sure whether I was just imagining things, lol. I think it is great, hopefully that means then we won't lose posts or earnings now from others mistakes.

wow! That's cool kiran,I have not tried that since some of my friends are sending me those links in private! I also lose some yesterday because last time I posted a topic and with my slow connection, I didn't realize that the first attempt was successful and I tried to retype it and repost, only to find out, I got 2 topics with the same content! The other one was deleted and I got 4 people there who responded! I am guilty but it was unavoidable circumstances!

I am glad that mylot is not deleteing the whole discussion anymore just the post with the referal links in them as it is not fair to the poster who posted the post and followed the rules to have their discussion delted just because some moron posts their links in the post glad mylot has changed to just delteing the post with the link good job mylot.

No I have not noticed this but it is good if only that one response is getting deleted rather than the whole thing. I thought that it was not good that one person could get a whole discussion deleted, it is not fair when the discussion is a good one and it gets deleted because of one person.

That's good news hun, and I'm pleased to see that it was only the offending response and not the whole discussion. It is very frustrating sometimes when you find your whole discussion gone simply because of one response

I know it was very frustrating losing your whole discussion because of others mistakes. It happened to me on a couple of occasions particularly if I wrote a topic about money, without a doubt there would be several referral links plastered on my discussion. Thank goodness this problem is resolved now.

No, it is a news to me, I have not discreetly noticed, whether any response got deleted, because that response was beyond the guidelines. But in a way it is good that only one response was deleted, your entire discussion does not deserve to be deleted, because it is someone else's response, which is in voilation of guidelines, not your discussion. Have a great day!

Hi, That is great. Deleting the responds alone is much better than deleting the whole discussions.

Hi, Now that myLot has updated the system, we no need to worry our discussions will be deleted due to others mistakes. As long as we follow the rules, our discussions will remain on myLot. Happy mylotting.

I haven't noticed it, but oh my goodness, if they've started doing it that way, that is awesome! That's been a pet peeve of mine, penalizing the original poster when someone else does something to the discussion, whether they meant to or not. I'm glad to see it is finally a bit more fair. Yea myLot!

Yes it happened in a discussion of mine last week. Someone posted a referral link in a comment on a response in my discussion. I was worried that the whole discussion would be deleted as a result. My discussion is still there, the response is still ther, but the comment with the referral link has been removed.

actually i never got it, ussualy they sent via massage, or to email, i ever saw some this discussion which there was refferal link inside, i thought it forbide right, but some of them try to annoy that policies from mylot. i know they just want to try to get some refferal with easier way....maybe..lol

It does forbid people from posting referral links, some people aren't aware of the rules whilst other choose to ignore it. Atleast now we don't all get our responses deleted when people post referral links.

it is awesome to know that mylot does not punish the poster and other innocent users by deleting the whole post just because there is one user who violates the regulations here... i always think that it is not fair to the other honest and innocent users... i'm glad that mylot is changing it now and just punish those users who break the regulations... take care and have a nice day...

That sure is great news that apparently myLot has changed their policy a bit and are n o longer going to penalize everyone for the mistake of one person. It's always been frustrating to make what you thought was a good post about something only to find the whole discussion gone because one person broke the rules. Thanks, MyLot! Annie

I know it was very frustrating particularly if you made lots of comments on that discussion to peoples responses, that means that is alot of earnings lost there. Thank goodness this policy is alot fairer.

hi kiran. I often saw some posts being deleted but not the whole discussions. this has also happened to my own discussion back then, someone put a certain site's link and later the person's post was deleted but my own response back towards the person's comment wasn't deleted. by reading your discussion, I was surprised to know that the whole discussion could be deleted because of the same thing? I didn't know that until you mentioned it. I'm glad that this no longer happens. at least, everybody else's efforts are still appreciated by myLot. that's good to hear it!

maybe this is the new features of mylot now, instead of deleting the whole discussion much better if they delete only the one post who violate the guidelines because it is unfair to the owner of the post who were careful and obey the guidelines. thanks for the post.

I'm one of the newbies....very very new....Just today even. I'm trying to read discussion boards and get a feel for the site. This board has been very helpful. I DID read the TOS and the guidelines. There are so many 'don'ts' tho that I welcome any refreshers. Thank you.

No problem you are welcome. I am sure you will love it here, discuss, comment and respond away and get paid for it, it is awesome. You will also meet lots of great people from all around the globe. There are alot of rules but this is the main one, that people can get deleted discussions from.
